A Good, Simple App for Letter Practice
I was looking for something to make letter-writing practice a little more engaging for my kiddos, and this does that. The strokes practice is great. The letter-reversals practice is also helpful. I appreciate that the cursor has a picture reflecting the sound the letter makes, so as we practice writing the letter, the kiddos can say the sound the letter makes. I do wish the letters were all unlocked from the beginning, or that parents could pick which letters to lock/unlock, as I was hoping to use this to go along with my son’s lessons, but to practice the letters I am trying to target, he has to do several others to “unlock” the ones I am aiming for. I do understand why they are grouped the way they are and that the “unlocking” element adds fun for the kiddos, it just makes it trickier for me to pace.
However, it is a helpful and fun app that the kids enjoy, even my bigger one who is “over” practicing letter formation! And I know they can’t get into trouble using it without too much supervision from me.
