Needs an edit option
Too many pictures are low quality or too busy. I would like to be able to edit the pictures. The pictures keep me from really being able to use this expensive app with my kids in therapy.
Good TX for semantics
I use the app with school age language impaired students. They enjoy the photo completion reward and it gives me an idea of the types of associations the students are making. I would love a data piece and more activities.
So Simple and Just Right
The exercises in the app were seem quite simple (to an adult), but they are really exactly right. What is dreary in a paper book, with no physical activity to reenforce the learning, is just right on the iPad, where the simple dragging and dropping makes an exercise into a game.
Some apps are you should just download and get startered. If you have young children (or a young person who wants to practice English!), just get this one.

I agree with other reviewers. The overall setup of the app has great potential; however the drawings are indecipherable! I am a speech therapist and I would use the app so much more if they were better. Photos would be ideal.
Drawings
This app would be great if the drawings were replaced by photos. I used the free version with my patients with good success and expected similar quality on the unlocked tasks once I purchased. If I had know that only 3 tasks had photos, I would not have spent the money to unlock. Please increase the quality by eliminating the line drawings!

Please do not buy this app
This app contains some troubling pictures. One reward picture is of a dirty, graffiti strewn area under a bridge. Another reward picture is too men wrestling. Many of the handwritten drawings are illegible. The tasks are far too difficult for students aged 3 - 10.
Great app
My husband had a stroke and has been using this app for comprehension, he loves it! His therapist told him to cover up the words on the sides so in addition to reading the instructions he now has to listen to them, which is a bit more challenging. Thank you!

I don't agree with one of the previous reviews. I think most of the pictures are really great.
Some of the the black and white illustrations are quite challenging and sometimes ambiguous.
But the kids didn't mind and we had some interesting discussions about those.
I believe you should preview the levels before buying the full version, and judge for yourself.

Thought there were possibilities
The idea behind this app has great possibilities, but there are several significant issues. The graphics for the blackline drawings are so poor the pictures are frequently unrecognizable. Also, was it really necessary to use photos of naked children in the Verbs section? With those pictures in the app I cannot even consider using the app with my speech therapy students. I truly regret that I paid for the full version of the app. Please fix these issues!

Awful graphics
I purchased the add ons and was extremely disappointed with the poor quality of the pictures. Also, for many children, the field is just too large, you should be able to customize how many items the child can see at one time.
Seems to have some good possibilities
To respond to the previous review, it confused me for a minute too. You drag the direction square over to the one that it describes, and it will reveal the square. A picture is shown when it is done. Haven't bought the unlock yet, but I think I may do it. It looks like something that would be good for my speech/language students to do independently.

Confused
I got the free version, but I can't get it to work. It gives the directions, and I touch the correct picture, and then nothing. Am I missing something? It looks like it would be a really good app if it worked.
Has great potential
Level E is a great start, as for the mention of objectionable images in the paid levels brings on some concern. I would love to see a settings feature that permited users to remove the text prompt or in other words - no written sentence and match images based on the audio command only.
Very Disappointed
I am so disappointed. I have been using the free version of this for a little while, but the $10 price tag was rather steep. I finally went ahead and bought the full version, but feel completely swindled. Level E (free version) is not at all indicative of the paid levels. Many of the levels have very poor quality drawings that are difficult to interpret. And, many of the drawings and pictures are not appropriate for using with children. No need to have pictures of naked children, Elvis in the women's lingerie department, men dancing with inflatable dolls or pictures of beer cans. Additionally, the pictures that you have chosen are amazingly lacking in cultural diversity. As a teacher I often recommend apps to parents, but I will only recommend the free version of this app. I wish I could get my money back.

Fantastic!! This App targets so many different concepts and is a steal at 10 bucks compared to what you'd spend buying materials through a catalog! Will be great for my EL kiddos too! Thank you!!
