What's New in Lexitaire

4.0.0

August 7, 2026

Wordly is now Lexitaire — and this is the biggest update in the game's 15-year history. The last version, 3.1.1, shipped back in 2011. Since then, the entire app has been rebuilt from the ground up in Swift, and it's still the same tile-spelling game you know — your saved games, top scores, and language dictionaries all carry over untouched. What's new in 4.0: • A new name and app icon: Lexitaire • Rebuilt entirely in Swift for a faster, more reliable experience • Now available on Apple TV, playable with your Siri Remote • Play with real dictionaries in 9 languages — English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Greek, Romanian, and Dutch — combine compatible ones for extra scoring chances, and the app itself is localized into 19 languages • A decade and a half of small fixes and polish, all in one release Same game you remember. New foundation for what's next.

Wordly

I enjoy playing this game but am a bit frustrated since I can no longer see my word list at the end of each game. Even when I played a game that was not top scoring, I used to be able to check the definitions. After a recent update this step has been removed. I hope that gets fixed

Great game but Needs fixed

Love the game but in the help screen it says if you end the game because you're stuck it will show the words you missed. For some reason mine doesn't show them. Would really like to have this show. Please fix!

Fun

Fun word game. It's rather like Scrabble solitaire. It's a good way to get your fix while waiting on your turns to arrive in Words With Friends. :) I agree with the previous comments that its dictionary has some curious ommissions and inclusions--it's certainly not the OSPD. I'd be interested in knowing its source dictionary. However, still a great way to spend a few minutes puzzling out words.

Great app, needs more words

I wanted to give this app 5 stars but it refuses to recognize some words such as Toulouse and California and yet it will recognize Dan and Kat but not Katie and other proper nouns and places.

It is a very addicting app and I find myself spending (or should that be wasting!) hours playing it!

Word Nerd Addict

I've been playing this game ever since I got my iPhone in February. It's a great way to waste ten minutes. And you can't beat the support. I had a problem so I e-mailed the creator and heard back from him the next morning. Then I browsed through his web page and came to realize that he's some sort of genius who seems to have his choice of great jobs. So what're you waiting for, get Word Nerd to go along with your Scrabble and Word Jhong, and you can waste as much time as I do.
