What's New in LexWidget

1.5.1

October 26, 2026

1.5.1 • iPhone Duo, in every lens: open it like a book and the word you're reading fills its page, in Pop, Specimen, Teletype, Herbarium and Aether. Closed, LexWidget now runs edge to edge around the side bar. • Flashcards on a folded Duo: big previous, flip and next buttons fill the bottom half, so you can study with the phone on a table. • Easier-to-read flashcards: definitions on the back of the card are clear in dark mode. • A quick look at what's new when you update.

Great app!

This app is great! There is a widget for both your lock screen and Home Screen. Both widgets look great and you can chose how often the words changes. I’m currently enrolled in a medical terminology class that is very intense and this has been extremely useful. It’s nice to see new words every time I look or open my phone, which like for most of us is entirely too much. You can mark words as known on the widget interface or the in the app once you know them and they won’t show up again. The free version works really well and you can add your own words. If you want to import a list of words, however, you have to upgrade to the pro version, which I ended up doing. I was a little nervous paying for an app that only had one review (at the time I got it), but it was definitely worth it. It’s really refreshing to see apps that don’t use subscription models. Can definitely recommend this app!

Great Passive learning tool

Great app for passive learning! I really like how new words can pop up on your screen throughout the day, making it easy to learn and review vocabulary without having to set aside dedicated study time. It’s a simple and convenient way to build your vocabulary naturally.
