About

This app generates complex LFO waveforms with multiple outputs for creating "chase" effects. It offers two LFO generators with phase modulation, adjustable suboscillators, and waveform morphing. It can output MIDI control change values and sync to tempo.

βœ“Dual LFO generators with phase/ring modulation
βœ“Suboscillator modulation with waveform morphing
βœ“Adjustable waveform rate, type, and range
βœ“Output 1-16 MIDI control change values
βœ“Tempo synchronization and AUv3 MIDI Effect support
βœ“Two modes: 'perform' and 'edit'
βœ“Randomize parameter values

I use it mostly in Apematrix and get the knobs dancing, very nice laboratory for very experimental sounds!

Doesn’t work on iOS 15

Mad Hat LFOH

Trippy idea that can be used in many ways. I love using it with drum synths, and strange sound effects. Is easy to route through AUM as well. Enjoyable interface, cool concept.

unfortunately still with a crucial bug

when i connect the app to an instrument or an effect in aum, the volume turns up and down at the same time. With this bug the app is almost unusable. unfortunately, because your concept is fantastic

Response from developer

Hello Sorry for that experience. This happens because default midi output of this app is routed to AUM's MIDI control and it receives control change number 7 on channel number 1 as volume control. You can easily fix that by either changing output channel in lfoch or by disabling cc7 to channel volume in AUM. As there is a default mapping in AUM for all midi control change 7 messages on respective channels, it doesn't make much sense if i change the default output channel of the lfoch from 1 to any other as it would send cc7 anyway if we have default 16 outputs. I'll make a special note about that in the description to avoid this confusion and to setup the app properly. Regards, Alex

lfoch is an experimental LFO generator that can create "chase"-like effects with multiple outputs from a single complex waveform. It functions as both a standalone app and an AUv3 MIDI Effect.

How much does lfoch cost?

lfoch is a paid application, priced at $3.99. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements associated with this app.

What devices does lfoch support?

What are the modes in lfoch?

lfoch has two modes for live usage: 'perform' mode, which features a larger waveform view and selected sliders, and 'edit' mode, which displays all controls on a single screen.

How does lfoch handle MIDI output?

lfoch can output 1 to 16 points from its generated waveform as MIDI control change values on MIDI channel 1. When running inside an AUv3 host, it uses the host's transport, but a 'free mode' setting allows it to not follow the host transport.
