10/10 light meter app

works extremely well gives very accurate readings first roll of film came out perfect because of this app

Simple and Clean

Easy to use. Have not yet developed photos, so unsure how accurate readings are, but seems to match what other methods produce so far

It really does exactly what it says

The user experience is very streamlined, which makes it a good fit for the film photographer that just want to take a reading and get quick calculation for diffferent iso/aperture/shutter settings

Helps

I just got a film camera and know next to nothing about what settings to use so this helps and take some of the guessing out of taking good photos

Great app

Would use again

Simple and clear

Works great and the recent update made it so much more powerful. Thank you!

Best Simple Light meter App

Of all the apps I have tried I keep coming back to this one because of its simplicity and ease of use. It’s not as sophisticated as some but does the job for me

Great app

Love this app, it works really well.

Super app!

This does everything I need it to after the update. I shall put my previous review in the lower paragraph so the developer’s notes still make sense. The ‘Camera profile’ feature was a stroke of genius.

**Old Review**
“I have a camera with an f/4.5 lens, yet this meter app hasn’t the option. I am aware adding dozens of new half stops to accommodate obscure lenses would clutter the app, so how about an option to add your own partial stops? Otherwise, it’s a very good app indeed.”

Incredible new update 📸

This new overhaul has completely transformed the app from what was already a great and practical app for metering into a full customisable and incredibly useful tool to aid in your photography. The addition of multiple zoom levels is a particularly standout feature that I personally was hoping would be added, and the ability to create camera profiles to add or reduce the time spent looking for appropriate exposure setting is incredible. I already loved this app but this update is amazing, if I could rate 6 stars I would⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The only thing I would like to see implemented would be a size adjustable metering spot to specifically target certain areas of the frame to expose for

Excellent app

Thank you so much for creating this app. So easy to use and my analog photos all turned out great. Great service to human kind.

It's free but could be better

The app takes a picture and gives you an arbitrary reading based on iPhone camera readout. It needs to be able to lock Aperture or Shutter Speed and ISO to be useful for film photography. Also the stepping needs to be simplified to 1,1/2 and 1/3 stops.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! The latest update allows you to lock two columns at a time, so hopefully that address some of your needs.

Good for Photo 1

Reccomend by Mr.V, very good

Mostly useless

One of the worst app designs I’ve ever seen. An example of amateur UI/UX.

I wish there were more f options

I have a camera with an f/4.5 lens, yet this meter app hasn’t the option. I am aware adding dozens of new half stops to accommodate obscure lenses would clutter the app, so how about an option to add your own partial stops? Otherwise, it’s a very good app indeed.

Great for Pentax

Great for shooting Kodak gold. Great replacement for a broken light meter

Apps broken

Love this app and have used it for over a year. Recently when I go to take a reading the screen is just black. I’ve tried reinstalling the app reenabling camera permissions, etc. So I think it’s an app issue. Hopefully they’ll get it fixed cause it’s a 5/5 app otherwise.

Response from developer

Hey there, sorry to hear the old version was behaving like that for you, definitely hadn’t encountered this in testing before, and definitely frustrating. Please give the latest version a shot, after rebuilding from scratch the app is much more stable now.

Awful

I shoot film and all three rolls I shot with overexposed them. That’s a lot of money wasted because of your app not doing its job right, whoever makes this app, please look through whatever you are doing on it, because it does not work whatsoever.

???

Can’t get it to work.
