Nice and safe

Game changer for keeping tabs on your valuables. Been great to know temp & especially humidity. Very accurate if door opens, and stats no issue for years. Get one

Text Messages

The hardware works great, minimal wifi issues. My issue is with text and message alerts. With the recent iOS updates, I no longer receive the notifications, only the emails. I have removed and reinstalled the app along with a plethora of other typical fixes.

I expected better from Liberty.

Inconsistent messaging that always delivers slowly. Unit also has trouble maintaining connectivity with or without the antenna despite a very strong Wi-Fi signal. More trouble than it’s worth. I expected better from Liberty.

Works as intended

Liberty Safelert works quite well. I did know this application existed so I was using the elertus website instead. I bought the safelert more than 5 years ago and the unit still working. I did add the external antenna but my home is single story so I get a strong wifi connection. I am not sure if the external antenna was included or not since I did save the original packaging.

Works as intended with room to improve

I’ve been using this app on two Safelert modules for several years now. Connecting the module to the app for the first time was easy. I haven’t really had any issues. Text messages for events seem consistently slow but does always send them. Ive found that selecting the Smartphone option for events results in a nearly instant notification. I would like to see WiFi signal strength displayed in the app so I know the best location to place my antenna. Would also like to see the modules get upgraded to include a camera and run off electricity with battery backup. I recommend Safelert to everyone I know.

Does not work

Just went and opened my safe no alert shook the liberty safealrt nothing shut the door 5 min later I get a alert door closed this is a big disappointment and total waste of money just buy blink cameras

Working exceptionally well for years and now in 2019

I don’t understand the other reviews asking if this app works. The total solution works exceptionally well and is very reliable. Reviewers citing issues are likely having WiFi issues and instead of rectifying that they write a review and complain. WiFi coverage can change by many factors and if it’s low power it’s even impacted by factors such as moisture in the air. This device has excellent coverage and communicates miraculously through a massive steel safe and up a set of stairs to a WiFi router. You do however want to assure you didn’t push the limits too far for coverage as if you do, as with any similar device, you will have inconsistent coverage. The developers of the total product deserve an award for solving many difficult engineering problems and doing so at the price point of the product is even a greater feat.

You will have more peace of mind

I love all the different sensors and things it monitors, with the most valuable of course being the vibration detection. It’s like having an extra layer of security for your safe, because, after all, multiple layers of protection are better than one.

The biggest issue is that the wire that attaches t the sensor and then to its antenna has to either be installed through the outlets inside your safe - which I recommend having your delivery service do ahead of time if you buy this along with your safe. Otherwise, like me, you’re stuck just placing this on top of your safe and can only use the vibration detection feature. There isn’t enough space between my safe door for even this tiny wire to go through and transmit data. But at the end of the day, I got this for the movement detection so it works well for me.

Great system to alert you to problems

I was looking for something to monitor my safe that didn’t require monitoring fees. This works great. I tried hanging it from one of the screw holes at first but it didn’t pick up the vibrations from tampering with it. I ended up removing one of the door panel screws and mounting it on the door. Now it picks up when the handle is moved. It picks up my WiFi without the antenna but my router is 10 feet away. One review said his quit picking up his wifi after 2 years. Routers aren’t as good as they used to be. 2 years is about the life of a router now. I would try another router before blaming this unit.

Still Works

Has been working well for about a year. Great battery life, however, I’ve found that when battery life hits 80%, internet connection loss seems to happen. I’ve had to replace batteries only once so far.

Swiping down on the status screen will sometimes refresh the data (as long as the unit has internet connection). If it doesn’t update AND the last update time-stamp is over an hour ago, it is not connected to the internet.

Putting in fresh batteries required me to re-establish the connection as outlined in the user manual.

Does this app still work

Does anyone know if this app still works with the liberty Safelert ????

Stopped working

For two years this worked flawlessly. This past Saturday June 16th, it started to disconnect. Nothing has changed with my Internet service. I tried reprogramming it & it connects to my WiFi. I get the green light BUT no email to complete the setup. What the hell did you guys do??Please fix it ASAP. There is NO problem with my internet service.

Refresh button

How about a refresh button or current stats when you open the app?

Developers Need to Update

1. Often drops connection, which it notifies you about, but doesn't let you know when it has re-established it.
2. This should tell you realtime what conditions of safe are when you open the app. I only seem to get details once an hour.
3. iOS 10.1 informs me that this app will slow my iphone until developers update their app. Come on guys, looks like last update was 2014!?! Can we get some resources devoted towards an upgrade please!!

Fantastic!

Free. Sends alarms to 3rd party server which in turn alerts you. My iPhone receives alerts with 5 seconds, email within a minute or two ( my email provider delay). 3rd party server pings your safelert every half hour, no communication assumes DSL failure. Anyone tampering with the safe, I'll be notified plus high temp can alert to house fire.

Working Great

I just got my new "Safelert" installed about 3 days ago. So far, I am very pleased. Installation was quick and easy and it seems to be working great. I have received one alert (Lost Internet Connection) so far. Our internet is far from perfect, so this is not unexpected. I would like to get an alert when it re-connects, but that is not currently built into the software. Hopefully, they will add this feature in the future. Knowing the status and condition of my safe no matter where I am helps me feel secure and in control. I would recommend this product to anyone.

False alerts

I keep getting false movement alerts as well as numerous lost internet connection alerts. This alert would not be so bad if I would also receive an "internet reconnected" alert.

Doesn't work!

Returns an incorrect username or password error.

Finally!

Finally they listened and allowed more than one device to be on one account. This is the best app and device they have come out with for safes. Yes there are false alarms nothing is perfect. If you have network cameras like I do, you know wifi is not 100% all the time.

Thanks liberty for the update and offering great safes and devices like the Safelert!

Refuses to Work

This app does not work! I use the same credentials as I use when logging in via web browser, but am always told that my user name or password is incorrect.
