Latest Updates Crash on Startup

App is fine when works but recently unusable as crashes on startup ( iPhone 17 latest iOS ). Filed a support ticket but no response, please fix

App horrible

Still cant connect to app

Libratone speakers don’t work

I was an early doctor and bought the lounge speaker long ago. I also bought the live and the zip shortly after. The lounge worked fine in the beginning, but I keep having problems connecting it. The live speaker works on and off speaker is now useless. It is impossible to add it and I have this fancy fur clad little thing that is completely useless now. Stay far away from this brand. I have never heard of or encountered myself a worse operating system

App not great

I’ve had my Zipp mini for years, I love it, the sound is fantastic. But I can no longer use the internet radio stations that I saved, they no longer work in the App. I have to use Bluetooth but it frequently disconnects.

Lost my favourite radio station

I’m really not happy with the last two weeks of updates. Crashing after some updates. Pretending it is vTuner’s problem (my station is on their site) and still lost my favourite. I have to fight for these connections every year when there is a update. My ZippMini cost a lot of money, is wonderful when it works - but the app updates are terrible!

Useless

Useless app. Won’t link to the speaker. So unable to perform needed firmware updates. And no alternative methods available.

Internet radio has died

The app suddenly does not load any internet radio stations, these are no longer smart speakers

Absolutely awful

Endless issues with this App. Suddenly lost ability to connect to internet radio stations (loads of other people reported same issue today). Endless issues failing to connect to WiFi. I will never buy another Libratone device because the App that controls them is so utterly awful. Bravo Libratone.

App demands location for no good reason

I had to grant access to even use this HEADPHONE APP. RIDICULOUS.

Dog dirt

Hey Libratone, how about some investment in making sure your existing customers can use your products?

Abysmally bad

I own a Zipp and two Zipp 2 speakers and all I can say is the app is getting worse and worse.

Libratone, please pay attention: you’ve been around for many years and have lots of fans like myself, who would enjoy a good quality product from an independent manufacturer that is not behind the walled gardens of bigger corporations who only use music and audio equipment to create dependence on their other products and services. But…

This app is absolutely terrible. There is no point listing all the ways it doesn’t work, because after so many years it is way past the point of bug fixing. You need to replace the entire development team with a more competent one and rewrite all the software from scratch. It’s the only way to save this potentially wonderful product before users abandon you.

I still have faith.

Bad App!

I had the speakers for a long time. The app is so clumsy. If you have 2 speakers and you want to control the volume and settings of each one are just too many steps.
Presently the Aapp just crashes at the start. So you can never access it.

The worst part is that there is no other way to control the speakers, but to use the app. And since it crashes, well, I can't use my speakers anymore.

When it worked it was soon difficult to sink them in stereo mode and control each independent volume.

Zipp 2 no longer able to connect to BBC Radio stations

App was always a little cumbersome, but needs a real overhaul for users in the UK as you can’t connect directly to BBC radio stations.

Awful app

App needs a total redo, can’t even log in to manage devices

Literally, a trash

Waste an hour on the app
Just a crazy app. Destroy the experience.

Epic fail from the start

The app worked fine on my iPhone XS and 6S.

Now on 14 Pro, iOS 16.4. Installed the update and opened the app. “Please login to access your products.”

(Note to Libratone: that should be “Please log in,” not “Please login.” The word login, or log-in, is an adjective modifying a noun, as in “The login page is here.” In the sentence above, it should be “Please log in” — here, “log” is a verb and “in” is an adverb modifying the verb.)

I tried to log in. Entered userid and password. Tapped the link for “Read and agree to terms and conditions”. Got “500 - Internal server error”. So I have lost access to my spaces because a coding error is blocking me from logging into my account.

Version is 5.4.0-5400. Please fix this so we can log in and use the app.

great hardware, poor software

speakers sound amazing, getting them to pair in stereo is hit or miss

Zip is great

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews I’ve had my zip for a few years now and not had a problem. I use it in the kitchen to listen to radio or stream music and it’s great, music quality very good.
Better than getting device that listens in 😃

Another failure

Every time Libratone updates the app, or Apple updates iOS or I need to change the wifi password or stations I get the same problem.
The app won’t allow me to add my ZIPP MINI. My iPad can find it and connect as an airplay speaker - but I cannot add the speaker to the app to change the wifi password or manage my favourite stations.
I try switch off, I try delete the app and re-install - then I have to email Libratone, they apologise and check things out and a few days later (if I’m lucky) they fix something.
This is easily the sixth or seventh time I’ve had to go through this nonsense. If I hadn’t spent good money on the speaker - and if it wasn’t a great speaker when it works - I would never be a customer again.
