Great app!
Great for science projects really helped me, I got a %98. Definitely worth getting!
Fantastic
Fantastic app top marks
Great simple app. A few recommendations
Thanks for such a great app. It does what it says and that's it! Simple and straightforward.
I have two suggestions. As I am using this to check the light from my light therapy box, I'm putting it by my eye, so I can't see the reading on the phone screen. It would be great if I could press a button to save the reading at that moment, so I can pull the phone away from my eye and see the reading. Then press the button again to go back to live measurements.
And a button to exit the app would be good too.

Camera
The app is working great and it is free! The only problem is that there was no option given for the camera to be in use only when using app. Otherwise, I love its simplicity and that there is a chart for different lux levels in different scenarios.
Perfect
Best app I’ve tried to just measure Lux levels.
11.23.25 Today’s it’s not loading. Hope it’s temporary. Seems like an iOS update messed it up ☹️

Doesn't Work
It doesn't work. I downloaded it and there's nothing there to click or work with. Deleted.
Light resource
The light was doing, but you have light is faster than sound salt. Light is a very, very very ultra fast.
Compared to other light one light, that’s on the lights flicker so much less darkness or lightness, like compared to other lights in the world
🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

This is a toy.
This light meter tells me that my light therapy light recommended by doctors with a Lux of 10,000 is admitting 35,000-40,000 Lux at 12–14 inches. So it’s just way way off. 2.5 hours after sunrise with a completely blue sky, it’s reading 50,000 lux, which is a “good” estimate with an error variance of ~20,000 Lux. So in other words, it is just a toy.

Switch camera
It would be even better if you could add a button to switch between front and back cameras. Just a thought…!
Does exactly what it says
This app does exactly what it says with no ads, no account, and zero fluff. It’s perfect.
I’m Impressed
I tried another App and it basically did NOTHING but forcing you to pay for a subscription. So I found this one and I am blown away. This works great. You point it a the light source and it tells you how much lux your plants are getting. Now I know why they aren’t doing as good as they should. I’m like a 71 year old kid running around pointing my phone at every thing. I would gladly pay for this; not a subscription, but a one time fee of $5-$8.

Totally blind and not liking the update
Preferred the old style light Sensor where it was a whistle which gained pitch if in light
Simple and works
All other lux meters I installed and uninstalled, with their many positive reviews, started free, then sometimes it was very obviously inaccurate. Eventually it would boil down to “it would be accurate if you buy this or that and add it on top … now you could make one yourself from newspaper, but it will not be as accurate”!!
I used this to measure how much light will hit my eyes when I read a book, vs read from browser on monitor, vs read dark theme article on monitor. It gave me perfect comparison of each for free. Reduce monitor brightness and contrast, all show how much difference they make.

Could be better
If spot view and front camera view can be added it would be 5 star.
Like your app for its small footprint.

Love this simple app
This app is very simple and fun to use - point your phone to something and see illuminance value of what the camera sees. Seems to be reasonably accurate compared to expected values of Lux. Handy reference scale is provided in app. No ads so far. Thank you developer for nice work.
I needed something like this for a very specific task. I restored the headlight lenses on my old car and wanted to see how much more light I get after refinishing the surface of plastic.

Simple, Clean, Helpful
This app is great for those wanting to know the amount of light they are exposing themselves to. I was looking for an app after learning more about light exposure through the Huberman Lab podcast and this app is perfect. I don’t care about photo exposure or growing plants. I care about the light my eyes are exposed to and this is the app for that.
