What's New in License Plate Mania

4.2.0

October 4, 2026

Version 4.2.0 highlights Voice commands: Add a plate by voice. Tap the mic and say "I found Ohio" and it's added and read back to you, so your eyes stay on the road. Hands-Free mode listens for "Hey Plate Mania, I found Ohio" without a tap. Speech is processed on your device and never recorded. Turn it on in Additional Settings. Collect more with Plate Details: Log more than the state. Record a plate's type (Veteran, Accessibility, and more) and its design variation.

Keeps crashing

Doesn’t work

Worked great the first day but after that it kept losing the states I put in. If I tried putting a state in at would say I need to sign in, so I would sign in. Then when I go to put the state in, it would say loading and do nothing else. My brother was the one who showed me the app and he’s never had a problem with it. I can’t get it to work.

Worked Until It Didn’t

Worked great for the first day on the road and then froze every time I tried to add a new plate. Signed out and back in, and lost my game even though the app said I wouldn’t lose data if I signed out.

Cannot start a new game week of 8/23/2024

We used this game on two cross USA trips and loved it!
We’re frustrated this week that it fails to start a new game on multiple attempts. Hopefully this is temporary.
