About

A Vietnamese lunar calendar with no ads, and the one thing the others leave out: your family's ngày giỗ, on the lunar date it actually falls on, every year. TODAY, AT A GLANCE Today's lunar date is the first thing you see, with the moon beside it. Mùng 1 and rằm are marked on every month — the two days most people open a lunar calendar to check. Tết and the other named lunar days are there too. THE MONTH A full month grid with the lunar day printed under every solar day. Tap any day to read it both ways. NGÀY GIỖ, WORKED OUT FOR YOU A giỗ is kept on a lunar date, so its solar date moves every year. Add ông bà once and the app gives you the right date every year after that, with a reminder the evening before and the morning of if you want one. Some years a lunar month has 29 days instead of 30, and some years the leap month does not come round. When that happens the app moves the date the way families do — and tells you that it did. It never moves a family's date quietly. Lunar birthdays work the same way, and they are free. WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO No ngày tốt xấu. No giờ hoàng đạo. No tử vi, no phong thuỷ. It tells you what the date is, never what it means. No ads, and no advertising code at all, so nothing tracks you and nothing asks to. No account and no sign-in. Everything stays on your phone. FREE, AND WHAT PRO ADDS Free forever: the whole calendar, and three remembrance dates with reminders. Pro: as many dates as your family has, this year's sheet showing every date's solar date, and an export you can send to your brothers and sisters so it lands in whatever calendar they already use. HOW THE DATES ARE WORKED OUT Solar and lunar dates are converted with the standard published algorithm for the Vietnamese calendar, computed for UTC+7. That timezone is what makes it the Vietnamese calendar and not another one: when a new moon falls in the hour between them, the two disagree by a whole day.
