lidar always says too close when i'm pitch black

You found a real bug, and it was ours. In the dark the scanner returns a lot of low-confidence readings close to zero, and the app was averaging them into the distance measurement. That pulled the reading under 30 cm and left "Too close" on screen permanently — worst of all in exactly the pitch-black conditions the app is for. Version 1.3.1 is in review with Apple now. It filters those low-confidence readings out and takes the median instead, so the distance reads correctly in a dark room. The same update fixes the larger problem behind it: LiDAR mode had stopped drawing from the scanner at all, so it now opens on the real depth view, which needs no light.
