FAQ

What does the Lie Detector by the Expression app do?

This app uses real-time facial tracking to analyze a person's expressions and detect potential deception. It monitors eye movements, lips, and face shape, comparing them against nine expressions commonly associated with lying, drawing on principles from psychological studies.

How does the app determine if someone is lying?

The app records a subject's face while questions are asked. It then analyzes specific facial cues like eye darting, rapid blinking, prolonged eye closure, specific eye movements, false smiles, pursed lips, and head shaking to determine if the subject is exhibiting signs of deception.

Is the lie detection result completely reliable?

The app states that the results are not totally reliable and depend on the user's ability to maintain a neutral face. While based on real psychology studies, it is presented as a tool for exploration rather than definitive proof.

What are the common use cases for this app?

This app can be used for entertainment, informal social experiments, or to explore the psychological indicators of deception in a fun and engaging way. It allows users to record and analyze facial expressions during conversations or questioning.

Is this app free to use?

The application is free to download and use, but it does offer in-app purchases. This suggests that some features or advanced functionalities might be unlocked through these purchases.
