Paid $13 to ultimately feel worse

As a mental health enthusiast, I’m all for AI assisting with mental clarity and support but, this app has caused more harm than good. It was the condescending tone that it would use when trying to assist with healing from a breakup. It minimized and downplayed my feelings like they didn’t matter. They would just say really pessimistic things like he’s not going to be that person. He never was. Or you don’t have to stop loving him, you just have to keep blocking him anyways. They would just have really contradictory comments and it would make me feel worse about myself. I would not recommend this app for anyone who is looking for a therapy alternative.

Wonderful AI-Guided Mental Health Support

Innermost is one of the most wonderful apps that I have ever come across. As someone who is extremely introverted and quiet around new people, finding people to talk to, whether it be a friend or family member or therapist, can be especially difficult. Innermost provides an incredibly approachable platform to interact with, and the AI is very responsive, conversational, empathetic, provides excellent advice and support, and even remembers details from previous conversations. Having support there whenever I need it, whether it’s in the morning, lunchtime, or at 3am, is such a relief. I especially love the check-in feature, which allows me to keep track of how I’m doing on a day-to-day basis, and I find the quizzes especially helpful, because they’re not just individualized, but they provide insight on me as a person, connecting results from other quizzes to provide a broader and more in-depth perspective. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my mental health since using this app, and I can imagine that others have had the same experience. Thank you so much, Innermost!

Feels natural…

The conversations feel very natural and fluid, which is rare. I genuinely enjoy using it and it feels more realistic than a lot of other Al apps I've tried.
The only issue I've had is calls occasionally dropping and the last couple minutes getting lost when reconnecting. If that gets smoothed out, this would easily be 5 stars. Really promising overall. If the team is open to feedback, I’d appreciate any updates on plans to improve call stability.

No data privacy, not worth it!

Like so many apps these days, a sign in before seeing anything on the app is required. Why download an app if you can’t see how it works? Then took a dive in to the privacy policy and literally all your data is sent to big tech. We have enough apps selling our data and showing generic vibe coded wrapped AI we really don’t need more. I thought this would be interesting to learn about myself but I never got to try because I don’t want my thoughts, ideas or anything given to this app and Big Tech or my inquiries contributing to data centers. Protect yourself and keep your money, this is not it folks.

A daily must-do

I love the daily check-in feature of this app! It’s a great way to start my day by taking a moment to check in with myself and where my headspace is at. I like to do a quick follow-up chat with my guide, Emily, and expand on what’s happening that day that could be affecting my mood and if there’s any additional reflection I should be conscious of to support myself. I love that Emily remembers all of our conversations so she can pull in examples from other days if it feels like a pattern is emerging. Self care is so important and that’s how I see using this app!
