What's New in Lifeproof
1.1.0

First-run setup - When you first open the app you set your home country and choose whether counting starts on the setup day or whether you enter past trips. - If you already have an account, you sign in during setup and load your entries from the cloud. - Language and reminders are part of the same flow. The notification permission prompt only appears if you select at least one reminder. Restoring from the cloud - When loading a backup, the app verifies the hash chain and only takes over the part that is fully connected. The number of entries left out is shown. - If your cloud backup holds the chain of a different installation, it is left untouched. Reset to factory settings - In the settings you can reset the app completely: entries, their photos and documents and all settings are deleted from the device. - A confirmation dialog states beforehand what will be deleted. With an account connected you can choose to delete the cloud backup as well. Permissions and reminders - Turning on location capture asks for the location permission only. - The reminders in the settings show whether the operating system allows notifications for Lifeproof, and take you straight to granting it if needed. - Trip entries are saved without a location prompt – they describe a period you specify yourself. - Note: Lifeproof uses your location even when the app is closed or not in use, in order to document your stay continuously. You can turn tracking off at any time in the settings.
