Update: app is no longer supported nor working.
As of Jan 1 2026 the app no longer works, period, and per Lifetime is no longer supported. The grill is now only controllable manually. They could have just run the server on app or on grill but instead cut service completely, which is deeply frustrating on top of already being a more difficult product than other connected grills.
Original:
This is for the app, not the grill. In short, there’s a lot of room for improvement. Connection and control via Bluetooth isn’t terrible, you can quickly control and set what you need within the otherwise rudimentary interface.
As soon as you turn to wifi though, the app has a hard time keeping and maintaining connection, and requires precision location services for poorly explained reasoning. It struggles to keep a on my WPA2 home network, and as soon as I’m off my home network connection there’s 0 connection to remotely monitor what my grill is doing. Lifetime is significantly behind their competitors here.
The overall interface is clunky and lacks responds poorly to input. The copywriting is awful and shows a major lack of polish. Multiple features in the menu are “under development” and have been for significant time. The “Instructions” page just links to the product homepage and none of the link functionality on said page works in-app.
There needs to be significant effort put into fixing this application for it to be useful, let alone competitive against other wifi-connected pellet smokers.

Horrible as heck
My new grill does not need to connect to WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time. Also 5.0 ghz networks are not supported. Also the grill needs my gps turned on, an email address, and a password. It’s…a….grill. Full stop
Horrible App
This is an ancient app. Its like using an app from 15 years ago. I accidently entered the wrong name of my wifi and there is no way to change the setting or correct it. Tried to create a new account. Nope. Won't let me. Lifetime, get your act together. This is amateur hour for such a big company. I can't even use the smoker until I can get through to customer servcie. On hold for 30 mins now. I was so excited to update the firmware and start using my new smoker but I guess not. Horrible horrible app. Hope I can get this app going one day….

Temperature Issues
This app will not let you set temperatures for notifications a solid 90% of the time.
Very glitchy
This app needs a lot of help. Has a difficult time connecting.
Needs a graph to track heat when smoking things like brisket.
Have to exit and re-enter app to get it to update changes.
