Please improve it.
Thanks for this app. It’s a great reference for wanting a quick look at a hymn anywhere, but you seriously need to spend some time developing it further so it can be truly useful for so many more reasons. It needs a content and index page for quick reference as well as the ability to slide from hymn to hymn sideways. Just these two things would make it so much more useable.

Needs a big bug fix
The back buttons are untouchable. They bleed into the bar at the top of the iPhone and can’t be touched. I’ll have to restart the app. I wish I could post a screenshot, but I just couldn’t even go back to search after reading one hymn.
Unable to open app after purchase
I started finding this Sunday’s songs on the app and was prompted to purchase a lifetime subscription after saving 3 songs to a list. I paid for the subscription and now I cannot access the app.
Life way could have done a better job on this
Can not delete a set list or a song in a set list. A topical index would have been nice as well as search by page number. I like having the songs. I have the baptist hymnal too and you can at least delete set list and songs.
Family of God
I downloaded and paid for this app to get Bill Gaither’s Family of God. All you have are the chorus no verses. Before I can recommend this app to our ministry you need to add the verses. Can you and how soon will this happen?

All the hymns of the 2008 Baptist Hymnal on my iPad or iPhone
I like that this app contains everything in the hymnal, but I can install it on all my iOS devices. Sometimes when our church has the “words on the wall” for a hymn, I like to use it to sing the parts.
Cannot login
I downloaded this app today because I wanted to be able to have a digital hymnal. I was SBC for a number of years and thought this would be great. When I try to login, I get an error 404 message.

Zero Stars—Doesn’t Work
I can’t get the app to work at all. I’ve uninstalled and redownloaded twice. It doesn’t matter what I do, it tells me it can’t connect to the server. 🙄 I feel like I just got scammed into giving away my email address. I bet their email server is working fine and I get spammed with Lifeway emails from now on. 😒

Please fix this app!!! Almost the same as the Baptist hymnal app, same songs but different format. This is a great app for personal and cooperate worship. I love the lists, it is very helpful. However, most of the features do not work. It is impossible to remove a song from a list or change the order. We are supposed to be able to tap on a song and slide it to a different location. We are supposed to be able to delete songs from a list, but these features do not work. LifeWay, please fix the bugs. People need resources like this one, especially during these strange times. However, we need it to work properly to get the most out of it. Please pay attention. Please make this app work - great concept

Doesn’t even work
I created a login and password then tried to log in and got an error 404 message repeatedly. I never got past that stage. It’s a shame, I was looking forward to trying this app.
Buyer Beware. No guitar chords
My wife, piano player, likes having the sheet music on IPad as it’s easier to read in low light. However, Lifeway did not make this as useful as they could have for modern worship by leaving out simple guitar chords the have already on digital.
The National Anthem is a Worship Hymn!
I pray that everyone in our country will read the second verse to the “Star-Spangled Banner.” When we sing it in our church, we are praising the Lord! It says, “Praise the Power that hath made us and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just; and this be our motto: “In God is our trust!” All glory be to the Lord! Also, if you read the words, you will see that they are a praise to God not to the nation. We are thankful for our nation, but our praise is going to God.

Unable to open/use . . .
Getting. 404 not found . . . No such key . . . Key does not exist . . . therefore, obviously cannot use . . . iPhone 6 . . . Software 12.4.1 up to date . . .
Not musician friendly
I wish I had read the reviews more carefully or tried the free version before buying. Three major things that need to be fixed. 1. I need to be able to swipe to turn pages. It doesn’t work to have to go up and down between pages while playing the piano.
2. The set lists must flow from one song to the next. Otherwise, what is the point? Very awkward for a person who reads music rather than playing by ear.
3. The menu needs to be updated so that the user can click on a letter of the alphabet to find a song title, rather than having to pan through the entire hymnal to find Victory in Jesus, for example.
I was really excited about the concept of this app, but it isn’t practical as a worship leader/accompanist.

Not any better
I’ve been using your Hymnal app for several years, and it has no page turning capability. I am very disappointed to see a new version that still has no right to left, or vice-versa, page turning capability. I have to also pay to unlock the whole book again, which is also disappointing. Why is this such an obstacle? Also my account seems to have disappeared, so I had to re-register.

Why is it worth upgrading?
I don’t see how this app is worth upgrading from the original. The main issues were not addressed such as not being able to swipe between pages and hymns, having to click back to the set list to change songs. Also, it looks like the there is no longer the ability to browse or search by hymn number. It does have the option to have multiple set lists and favorites, but without the ability to swipe or use my pedal it’s still useless in a playing setting. Without any new content, I don’t see the purpose of this app.

National anthems aren’t hymns!
I really like this app as it has many hymns I treasure in the free version. I was very disappointed that “The Star Spangled Banner” is included in this collection that Lifeway describes as songs for worship of the true and living God. Are you worshipping God or America? There are a few other patriotic American songs which I think is unbiblical, unloving to Christians in other countries and potentially idolatrous. Thanks for creating the app, but please use more discernment in what you describe as “worship.”
