i am SUPER disappointed
this app is awful. im using it to make my own custom effects, and alot of the effects i had in mind wont work because of the fact that they will be VERY laggy if i have a bunch of actions happening at once. secondly, my lights CONSTANTLY disconnect ALL the time. it is so frustrating. waste of my time

Dazzling effects, but they are very limited
This app has some amazing effects! I couldn't understand other people complaints about the lights response. You can actually fine tune it in the app to the milliseconds!! The effects are very limited. I was excited to download new effects from the external sources but can’t find any. Also app reliability is in question as the app was unusable on my birthday, exactly the time I wanted to use it the most.

I Can Program Exactly What Colors Flash On a Second Or 4 Second Interval !!! Once You Set Up Hue Buy This App && I Only Wish The Light DJ Woukd Implement Background Play !!! The Lights Stop The Programmed Pattern When You Put App To The BackGround !! 5 Starsz Tho !!!

Great effects, app is awful
Have to reset it each time and it will not play in the background by default which is very annoying. Lighting effects are terrific though.

Still crashing on both iPad and iPhone, even after the update supposed to fix this. Wasting my subscription while they try and get it working.. 🤬

Previously paid for features locked behind a subscription
Paid for Pro/unlocked version back in the day. Developer has now locked the Multitouch Strobe Maker, a feature previously included with my purchase, behind a “Pro” Subscription.
Lost Hue support
Since the last Hue revision it’s not possible to find the Hue bridge. Lost Hue lamp usage, very sad.
Good app but not subscription fee worthy
Love the progress on this app but a subscription fee is crazy for something I might use a few times per year I’ll have to find another app but if there was a flat fee I’d buy it right now 😔
Fun app but fragile
Very fun app but frequent crashes and disconnects from my Hue bridges. When they get disconnected, I can’t just add them back like all other Hue apps. I have to delete and reinstall LightDJ which is an annoying pain.
Stopped working
Used to work fairly well but seems to now have a bug whereby the start button fails to work. Advice from developer to uninstall and reload the app fails to make any difference. Shame.

I paid, now I’m getting assaulted with prompts
I paid for the yearly all access ($49!) and now when I launch the app I literally get 3 annoying prompts that my payment failed, then a photosensitive warning, then ANOTHER prompt that my payment failed. I checked with Apple and the app charged my card successfully and I’m set to renew in a year. So it’s either broken or a scam.
