As a photographer this is an amazing tool. It works on all your apple devices including AppleTV, converting a TV into a soft box!
It also doubles as a color matching light box for Taylor pool reagent results with the 6500K temperature.

Outstanding Lighting Control
I've been using this as a light for making video. It gives great flexibility in controlling brightness, temperature & hue. Also being able to control an old iPad from my Mac as an additional light is fantastic!

What I needed - and more!
I have lousy vision and need all the help I can get to peek at negatives. The ability to light just the image area, with precise preset rectangles, makes a huge difference! And being able to block touch input while I'm sliding the strip across the screen solves my tremor problem. Thank You!
Outstanding for flexible lighting control
The tremendous flexibility in brightness, hue, color temperature, as well as other parameters makes this app really stand out. Highly recommended!

Looks like I wasted my money
I purchased this, hoping I could use it for watercolor tracing. But even at the highest brightness, it’s not bright enough. Also, whenever I lean on it, even slightly, the commands screen pops up, totally throwing me off from my tracing. Tried it multiple times. Unless someone can tell me how to stop that screen from constantly popping up, I won’t be using this and I’m out $2.49.

Just press the Padlock icon to lock the screen from any touches. This is explained on the Help screen. You can also use the Contact feature to ask for assistance if you’re having problems. Please try this and I hope you reconsider your review? Maximum brightness depends on the model of iPad or IPhone - more recent models tend to be a lot brighter.

Great functionality, with tons of options for tweaking settings. I’m completely happy with my purchase!
One note, if you use it to scan film, you need to (at least on my iPhone 8) have the film off the glass. Otherwise, with a good macro lens (like the one I have!) it will pick up the pixels and lines on the screen behind your film.

LightPanel does not have a scanning function - rather it provides a light source that can be used for scanning (amongst many other uses). This is all explained in the app description. For help with using LightPanel, please see the extensive help in the app. If you are having a problem, please use the Contact button in the app or email us at lightpanel@bulsara.com.

Can be used for photographic lighting and as a light table to view transparencies.

Great for using my phone as a hand held light for fill-in lighting of macro subjects.
Easy to use and does exactly what it aims to do
This app is a real boon for close-up photography - it’s very simple to get the results you are after. Although I haven’t used it for this yet, the slide scanning seems cool. I cannot fault the way you control all the facilities, and as an added bonus, the help on this app is very detailed and clear. All up, a great app that’s been well put together.

Very Useful App
This is a simple and easy to use app with many different uses as a portable light source. I particularly like the ability to match ambient lighting with the colour temperature controls.
Not worth the money
Tried using this as an illumination source for camera sensor testing on iPad it just kept shifting modes and putting the grid overlay and varying the grid without anything touching it. Terrible app I would not recommend. Wish I could get my money back.
