Paid for this

I was upset because I paid for this app and then only received 10 pictures. However, the developer was awesome and sent me a code for a lifetime subscription. There are still good developers that stand by their products and all you need to do is contact them and let them know if you are having issues. This is one of my favorite apps, and I am extremely stoked that the developer came through for me. Such a good app and I was so bummed about the subscription issue – however if you did purchase it and you contact the developer, they will take care of you. Back to five stars. Love this app.

This shouldn’t happen (and definitely not cool). Please contact me at support@cogitap.com so I can look into this and make sure it’s resolved. Sorry about this.

Paid for this

I paid for this app and now it says I only get 10 photos and then I have to subscribe to it. Not cool. This is horrible to do to people and a total scam. When you buy an app, you should be grandfathered in when they decide to go to a subscription model.

Purchase not recognized

Completed purchase - but still see the “10 photos left” message.

Otherwise excellent app, however The inability to take note of purchase is disappointing

Works Well!

It really does make good looking long exposures even when I was trying to keep steady in 50mph winds. Not used all the options yet but the default settings work great.

Response from developer

I’m glad to hear the app held up in those conditions, and many thanks for taking the time to leave a review!

Missed functions

This app missed the complete potential.

I prefer the slow shutter app especially because you have an editing option and the price is way better.

Response from developer

As soon as I finish updating Slow Shutter Cam, I’ll take care of this! Sorry about this and thanks for your patience.

Way too expensive

And why would this app require a subscription? Greed?

It’s great

Love it, but can we get 2x ‘lens’ support on iPhone 16 pro?

Response from developer

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. 2× lens support on the iPhone 16 Pro is on my list — I’m in the middle of a big update, and support for it is coming. Sorry for the delay, and thanks for your patience!

Great for handheld long exposures

Have only just tried this app and it doesn't disappoint even though I am not rock steady.
It's both simple and effective with sharp results.
I was a previous user of Reeheld.

Response from developer

Glad you appreciate the app, and thanks for the review!

Doesn’t work in very dim scene.

I hoped this would work for long exposure images of the comet. However even when imaging bright stars, the stars aren’t visible.

Amazing

Excellent results. I’ve been a fan of the other developer long exposure app so after seeing this one for handheld exposures I decided to give it a try. Amazing results even up to 30sec. I just wish it would work with 48mp exposures as well as have exposure compensation.

Response from developer

Hello, a version with manual controls is currently in beta testing. Please contact us at support@cogitap.com to try it. Thanks for the review. :-)

Sorry

This is not really happening, not on newer phones anyway. I don't know if Apple make it harder to use low-light features on third-party software, but the built-in iOS trounces this. This app does help a little on phones using iOS 16 and earlier, as their low-light software is old school. So I would say this app is for older phones only. For newer phones, this consistently takes worse low light photos than just using the camera as is. Sorry. PS - your Slow Shutter app is excellent!

Light Stack does not have a Low Light mode, so it is expected that you will not see much improvement in low light conditions. And unless I can develop an algorithm at least as performant as Apple's (which is unlikely to happen), I prefer not to include such a mode. But if you ever need to take a long exposure under normal lighting conditions, a shot that would normally require the use of a tripod, I invite you to try the app again. You should be impressed. :-)

Nice tool, but …

I have the „Slow Shutter App“ too. There I can use a remote control. In this app the remote control turns on the louder button. This is a little bit strange.

Response from developer

Hello, a new version with remote control support is now available. Sorry for the omission.

Best option for handheld long exposure

I have tried Spectre, ReHeld and many other “no tripod” long exposure wonders on the AppStore in different conditions and using all of the phone’s cameras, and so far this one app manages to beat all of them in terms of consistent output and quality.

I also think this has the most practical implementation of the “stabilizer” marker on-screen in terms of both being able to figure out how to keep steady and being able to resume an exposure in the middle once you’re able to improve your hand’s stability during a shot.

Great job!

Thanks for the updates

Thanks for the updates and improvements.

Great handheld long exposure

I used cortex cam for years with a similar stacking methodology. I switched to light stack when I couldn’t reinstall cortex cam and it’s a great alternative. I’d argue the long exposure effect is far better than cortex cam. One I item I wish for is the ability to enhance resolution from stacking as well.

Hello, regarding your wish to enhance the resolution, we would greatly appreciate it if you could contact us at support@cogitap.com regarding this matter. Thank you very much for your review.

感觉还比较粗糙

感觉算法比较简陋,多帧处理,高光只是简单叠加,会明显过曝。低光部分,多帧仅仅用来降噪,分辨率不足,其实明显可以进行反卷积提高锐度。

Amazing!

Unbelievable! No noise and sharp!

Very nice tool

It is easy to use, clearly structured and very small. I like that!
The pictures are actually always successful and you can use the app by hand. The image noise is filtered very well.
Unfortunately, the pictures lack that certain something and they are very “soft” in detail. I would like to be able to adjust the sharpness of the image.
There is room for improvement in images that have very bright and dark areas and also in images that are taken in darker surroundings.

All together anyway and without thinking 5 stars - clearly!

Works Great!

Works exactly as advertised. Stabilization is quite remarkable.
