The best lightmeter

I’ve tried several lightmeter apps, and this is my fav so far.

See the description to know all what offers, but this is the only one that I’ve added to my lock screen.

Besides, you don’t have to subscribe, you can pay once and support the project.

Great for reversal printing

Actually goes down to .8 iso and has a built in timer. Really great for doing reversal print pictures on the paper in camera. Well thought out and intuitive to use.

Great App!

This gem has been helping me a lot with a variety of old vameras ans lenses. It has yet to let me down on the metering - it‘s always on point. The combination with Logbook is brilliant. AND customer service is quick to respond and super nice.
Great work guys!

Best Lightmeter app

Best one out there and it’s free!

Not for me, might be OK for some.

Difficult to figure out. I was looking for something more intuitive.

The way apps should be made!

This is in my opinion an essentially perfect app. No data collected. Easy, intuitive and forgiving user interface. Actually helps me understand the concept, as someone new to metering scenes.

On top of that, I have the opportunity to tip the creator. And the app size is exemplary!

Every app creator can learn something from this. Well done!

Best app for film photography students!

This app just saved my semester 😂 It really helped me have a clearer idea of the concepts and seeing them working in “real time” was a game changer. It also helped me understand reciprocity. It is a clean and very intuitive app. You have exactly what you need right there! I highly recommend it to anyone struggling to grasp some concepts in theory because once you see how everything instantly works, it all starts making sense :) Thank you for making this possible, and for free! I’ll keep donating because this is such a great tool! Keep the good work 🙌🏼

Free No Ads Accurate

Free. Accurate to my Leica MP meter and no ads.
I tipped and I might just send a $1 or $2 every shoot.
It being free makes me feel guilty.

Stunning

Wow, this app was made with love. Everything is there, for free. It’s easy to use and very well designed. Crazy how a little things like that gives me faith in humanity!

Perfect

Simply the best lightmeter in the AppStore. Period.
I tried all that are available in the store, nothing of those not even close to this. Perfect, thank you!

Good app with minor problem

This app is simple and easy to use but one minor problem that I find very annoying is that each time I open the app, a dialogue pops up and I have to close it, the button for closing is not even obvious. Often when I need to use the app, I need it quickly because I’m usually trying to capture a fleeting moment that may only last seconds more, or I may be capturing something moving or I’m on something that is moving and need it quickly to measure the light and take the photo. It would be great if pop ups and dialogues can be removed so the app can be used quickly.

Best in the game

Best LM app. Frequent updates. Been rocking this for years. Continually improving its range of services. Awesome

Excellent App with many features

I have a lightmeter add on, a manual meter and this app. I consistently use the device to test and it’s so easy to use. I like the multi profile setting feature. It is well worth downloading. Thanks!

Difficult to use

Difficult to use - the developer accuses me of lying. Not the response you’d like to get… I did delete this app. I did not like it. I am entitled to my opinion.

The only light meter you’ll ever need

Truly the best light meter you’ll find for film. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed

Affidabilità’

App molto precisa. Comparata con Sekonic 300

Fantastic

All you can imagine is there, zone system metering, mean, focal length selection, film selection and all sorts of compensations (bellow, ND, reprocity). And this is free, without ads ! This is on another level when compared to the other 4 or 5 apps I tried, including non free ones. By far the more feature-rich.

The other app from the same author Logbook (non free) can be linked to this one for an incredible combination. At the end you get a snapshot on your phone for each exposure with all the classic data needed for film processing, and more (GPS) !

Difficult to use

Difficult to use and you have to pay although free to download… uh huh. No instructions- I’m going to delete.

Sehr gute App

Dass reciprocity factor mitgerechnet wird finde ich praktisch.
