Used to work, now 100% useless
I used this for years after blowing a lot more than $4 on a sekonic. It provided amazing results, and it was always great being able to tap what you want to expose for. Now, for whatever reason on my iphone4 the controls won't lock and every reading I do gives me something ridiculous like 16h at f3.6. Dumb, I actually liked this app.

Please update for 4G
I bought this app by accident no realizing it was no compatible with my 1st Gen iPhone.
OK no harm, I will wait for my next iPhone. Today I discovered I still can't use it since its not compatible with the 4G.

Really not worth paying for
Controls don't work, nothing seems to lock into place for determining exposure. It gave me an 8 hour exposure for something that would have been only 100 seconds. I would like a refund!

i just bought this app for my iphone 3GS and it's saying my iphone is not supported!
great and accurate tool
Just ran my first roll of slide film through my Yashica matt TLR. It can be very unforgiving but all my shots were right on. It would be faster if you didn't have to take a picture to get a reading, but it is very nice that it does not save and clutter up your photo albums. Also love the fact that you can play with the settings and not have to reshoot for a different reading!

Perfect Tool
I use this light meter with old rangefinder cameras and it works perfectly. The best feature is the preview photo which acts like a spot meter and a polaroid all at the same time. I have had none of the reliability problems that other reviewers mentioned - must have been an earlier version. This is a truly outstanding app for film photographers.

When I attempt to meter the scene by pressing the camera icon, I get this message: "There was not enough memory to take a photo" and the app dies. I sent a query to the address a week ago with this information, but I have not received a response. My phone storage isn't even half full, although if it means processor memory I don't know how to manage that on the iPhone. I can only hope that my $3 goes to improve a future version.

Great photographer tool
I just bought a Hasselblad 500 C/M and have been researching the purchase of a light meter, and read of Flickr on the good results another photographer had with this application, so I had to give it a shot. I compare the readings to those from my Canon 7D and these were a 1/3 off,-or maybe on?-. Wonderful tool!
Could you develop this application to allow reframing of the image on the iPhone screen? This would allow me to match the scene from my camera to the one on lightmeter giving in this way a more accurate reading.
Keep at it. This is well worth the amount paid.

Flawed, but works in a pinch
It's an incredibly convenient idea, but the fact that I have to uninstall/reinstall or turn off and then on my phone to get it to work is annoying. Fix the bug and it'll be easier to spread the word to my photo friends.
Greatapp when it works
I shoot a lot of film with old cameras and usually have one with me in my car just in case I see a cool shot. I always have my phone and this app helped me to get some cool pics. Now though I claims that the phone is out of memory when I try to shoot a pic for a reading and I have to completely reset the phone to make it work. I've prettyuch stopped using it and am hoping for an update that fixes the issue.

Works!
Neat app. It doesn't work in super low light but it works fine for most situations. Now I'm really thinking about a Fuji GSW-690III. :-)
A boon to analog photographers
It's accurate enough. And to paraphrase the old saw, the best light meter is the one that's with you. I'm often bugged by a low-memory errors, and I wish the operation of the thing was much faster (does one actually have to snap a shot to get a reading?), and I wish it had a moving-needle interface à la the old Gossens and Sekonics... but these are quibbles. I love it.

Great app
This app can come in very handy for those of us who still shoot film. I personally shoot with a Hasselblad 500C, and as many of you may know this camera does not have a built in light meter. So long story short i was out shooting and my light meter ran out of battery, so (thinking to my self there is an app for everything) i pulled out my iphone and found this. I used it the rest of the day and When I got home (after I replaced the battery) i used my light meter to check how accurate this app is. I was amazed to see it was almost always within a half of a stop of my meter readings and nearly never more than a full stop off.
In conclusion this is a great app to have “just in case.” I would say the only thing i wish this app had, would have to be a spot meter.
