I frequently have to work with formatted text where I just want an easier editor that will let me work on it in a large size without its original format and then paste it elsewhere as plain text. This app does just that, and I love it. Thank you for making it!

The launch app window is too small
The window size s not remembered when you close and relaunch the app. It opens in small size. Fix it please.

I can't stand apple's text editor and have searched the universe for a replacement. So far, this is the best. I want simple. This is simple. I want a reliable save function. Text Editor has it. A bonus I enjoy = the ability to choose fonts. This feature increases the readability of my notes. Thank you developers!

A no-nonsense editor
I like a stripped down text editor with very little memory overhead. This perfectly fits that bill. Highly recommended.

Was looking for a nice simple text editor for Mac. On testing a couple this one was easily the best.

Export functionality broken
The export function stops working after a few files have been exported, and it produces lorem ipsum Chinese text about an aspiring executive exploring 3D printing who has never seen a woman in a relationship before. I wish I was joking.

Sleek and does the job
So I found this minimal text editor app while ago. This is what I have been looking for. Minimal, easier to save, and save times. Highly recommend.
Doesn’t allow you to move the files where you want them
It does simple plain text edits, however it puts them in a folder called “Documents” but has no way to move them to any logical place where you can use them. You can’t move them to a folder in iCloud files or Files on the phone, and in you search for the file name you created with Lightweight Text Editor while in a folder in Files, it won’t find it. I just wanted to crate plain text files to store in Files folders, but this app doesn’t do the single thing required to be useful, it won’t let you put the saved file where you want it.

You can import files (via + button in explorer) and you can export files (via ... button in file viewer) from/to the Files app (including iCloud).

Imports and exports txt files, can not only edit but organize them into folders. Very handy for notes as well, the iPad Notes app is pretty but much harder to export from.
I would appreciate being able to either sync with iCloud, or mass import multiple text files at once or a zip file containing multiple text files (like the kind created when exporting). I can’t find away around adding text files one by one.

Remove Text Formatting on iPad
This app is fantastic for removing text formatting on the iPad. It's simple and effective—just copy and paste, and voilà! It's incredibly useful for copying text from various sources like websites or PDFs.
