What's New in Limelight

2.0.3

June 27, 2026

Limelight is now a fully native iOS app, redesigned around iOS 26 and Liquid Glass. It's faster, smoother, and it finally lives where you do; your home screen, Siri, Spotlight, and Control Center. New Features ‣ Widgets: see your watchlist, what to watch next, and trending titles at a glance, in small, medium, and large sizes. ‣ Launch SceneSnap from the Control Center ‣ Ask Siri to open your watchlist, see what's trending, start QuickSort, or jump into SceneSnap. ‣ Spotlight search: your library is indexed right into iPhone search; find any title and open straight to it. ‣ Home screen quick actions: long-press the app icon for quick actions to search, view watchlist, QuickSort and more. ‣ Deep links: open directly to a title, list, or person (and the magic behind SceneSnap's tap-through). ‣ Hide titles: tap 'hide' on anything you're not interested in. ‣ Latest episodes: you can now see the latest episodes for tv shows. ‣ Light mode: now you can view Limelight in light mode instead of exclusively dark. ‣ Bulk edit lists: you can now bulk edit items in your list instead of one at a time. Enhancements ‣ A brand-new design: native iOS 26 look with Liquid Glass controls, fluid zoom transitions from poster to detail, edge-to-edge rows, and much more. ‣ Just for you: now hides anything already on your watchlist, seen, or pinned lists, as well as anything you've Hidden, so you only see genuinely fresh picks. ‣ Where to stream: cleaner branded provider logos, no duplicates, and smarter Rent/Buy grouping. ‣ Search: richer results with genres, year, ratings, and people. ‣ SceneSnap: improved AI recognition of movies and tv shows. ‣ QuickSort: you can now undo a swipe. ‣ Lists: new grid view layout and quickly filter by movie or tv show ‣ Trailers: entirely new player with a clean thumbnail and glass controls. ‣ Added additional book adaptation titles Bug Fixes ‣ Smoother, faster loading throughout: skeleton placeholders and an on-device image cache mean less waiting and fewer blank screens. ‣ No more jumpy layouts: sections hold their place from the first frame instead of shifting as content loads. ‣ More reliable library sync: counts stay accurate and your changes save dependably, even on a spotty connection. ‣ Steadier data: streaming charts, ratings, and where-to-watch load more consistently. ‣ General stability and performance gains that simply come with rebuilding the app natively.

Hard to track

It’s hard to track anything with this app. There is no continue watching feed to see what’s next on your list. You can’t even mark tv show episodes as seen individually so how can you tell where in the series you are? This seems like a new app that needs a lot of work and most of the cool features are behind a paywall. Stick to TVTime it’s free and does tracking the right way.

I use it daily

I love being able to track the movies and shows I watch, and discover new ones. It’s great to be able to see top shows and movies by streaming service and only show the services I have. Plus I enjoy being to see if a show or movie is based in a book. This is a great app.

Netflix movie

Thank you for the kind words!

Thanks Limelight!

Limelight has it all. I love that I can find everything out about a movie or show I’m curious about. I can see all the reviews and scores from different sites and where to watch them, which is super convenient. I also love that you can see if the movie or show was based off a book! Another cool feature is the movie/tv scan, which I’ve never seen. It allows you to take a picture of whatever you’re watching and it tells you what you’re watching! Very neat feature…like Shazam for visual media. Can’t recommend this app enough!
