Purchased LineLeap only to be told LineLeap was not supposed to be activated for the night…

I purchased LineLeap passes at the pop2000 concert this year at Bernie’s Beach Bar after seeing it advertised all over the place there. As well as seeing LineLeap at the pop2k show last year (2025) at Bernie’s. My friend and I arrived to the venue and we were first in line. We purchased LineLeap passes and went to eat at a nearby restaurant. When we arrived back to Bernie’s the hostess had no idea what LineLeap even was (even though it’s advertised all over the place at Bernie’s). My friend and I asked two more employees after asking the hostess and they did not know anything about LineLeap for that night. We were finally told by a security guard at Bernie’s that LineLeap was not supposed to be activated for the show and there weren’t any LineLeap representatives there. We were told we’d receive a refund but it was not about the refund. The point was when we arrived to the venue we were first in line, if we knew LineLeap was not supposed to be “activated” for that night we would have stayed in line as to not lose our spot. We purchased LineLeap with the intention of what it’s for - skipping the GA line. I DM’d LineLeap on Instagram - whoever replied told me LineLeap was not supposed to be “activated” for that night and that LineLeap would not honor a refund because they said “our access was granted to the second floor for the bar only” we did not purchase LineLeap to go to the bar on the second floor… we purchased LineLeap to skip the GA line… Bernie’s Beach Bar in Hampton Beach has 2 bars on the first floor that anyone can go to. We also did not have our access granted for us to go to the second floor for the bar. We did not even want to go to the second floor bar. This was not specified when we purchased LineLeap passes for the pop 2000 tour. So I thought that was really not cool of LineLeap to try to say that it was for the second floor bar access and not for skipping the GA line, as well as telling me that our access had been granted to the second floor and that they weren’t going to refund us. Our access had not been granted to the second floor bar, we never even went to the second floor bar, as we were there for the concert and not for the bar… Again, if we wanted to go to the bar we could have gone to either two bars Bernie’s has on the first floor without needing to “purchase line leap” also the people who were at the second floor bar did not purchase lineleap to access the second floor bar because there’s also a restaurant there. So I just felt we were lied to because LineLeap made a mistake. It was not our fault that it was able to be purchased and then to double down and say it was for second floor bar access only and not to skip the GA line made no sense as we know line leap is like a fast pass to skip the GA line. Thankfully a security guard at Bernie’s was nice enough to honor our line leap passes for that night. He even acknowledged that LineLeap was for a skip the general admission line like a fast pass type of line and not for second floor bar access. I will never be purchasing line leap ever again, and I will also advise my friends and family at shows to not purchase line leap as this seems sketchy and scammy. Bad customer service on your instagram as well to double down instead of providing a solution to a problem that was created by your company, LineLeap. To blatantly say you would not provide a refund because our access had been granted to the second floor bar (even though our access was not granted) was not providing good customer service or representing LineLeap in an integrity-driven way. The security guard at Bernie’s provided excellent customer service in providing a solution to a problem that was created by LineLeap and refused to be solved by LineLeap. I’m still not happy with the way LineLeap refused to handle the situation.

Worst app ever

This app genuinely ruins bars. It used to be just show up, wait a few minutes, get inside. Now everyone is paying +30 just to get in a bar we used to get in for free all the time. Truly this sucks and is the worst thing on this entire App Store. And I hope no one experiences this coming to your college bar. It. Will. Ruin. It.

Mid

I need to download an app to get into a bar? Are we kidding? Fixing a problem that doesn’t exist.

Horrible ticketing app

Feels like this was made in 2010 asked for a refund and they never got back . Terrible app and customer service experience!!

Best day ever !

They gave impeccable customer service

Expensive but helpful

This has gotten me out of a few long bar lines but $20 is a lot.

Lost Money

This app does come in clutch many times, however I went out a few nights ago and accidentally purchased two passes. I would take accountability and recognize that it was my mistake if there was a confirmation button or a cancel button however the app only scanned my face ID and charged my account immediately. When I went to the bar that I bought the passes for they told me that if I wrote an email to the app directly that they would reimburse me. I did so the next morning and I got an email saying I wouldn’t be reimbursed and that everything was non refundable. Again, I would take accountability for this if there had been a way for me to cancel it. I had spoken to may friends about my experience and I’ve discovered that they have had negative experiences either lineleap as well in dealing with situations similar to mine. I never leave reviews especially negative ones, but I feel scammed. I should not spend $70 on two tickets and there not even be a “are you sure button” or even a cancel button. All that appeared was the face ID that allowed the app to take the money out of my account. I have been left unsatisfied and I don’t care if this is dramatic, but scammed as well. And I’m sorry to all other consumers of this app who have been scammed from their money as well because apparently it’s a reoccurring problem.
