It’s not actually free. It’s marketed to be like duolingo, except it’s not even close. Anything beyond the first few lessons where you learn basic greetings (something you can easily learn through youtube videos as I did) is locked behind a paywall. Not to mention the constant pop-ups trying to make you buy a subscription (which is a pretty extortionate price if you ask me). Do yourself a favour and don’t waste your time downloading this unless you feel like dropping £70 a year.

First good free app I have ever tried I am so addicted and it is so enjoyable. Hundred percent recommend it
Rating goes to the developers and native speakers pouring love and dedication into this app. I’ve been waiting my entire life for an app to learn more Lao! Please consider making the subscription family accessible/sharable to your other devices.
This is the best learning app even though you have to pay so does Duolingo and also Ling is better for learning languages that aren’t world wide. This is a very good app I would definitely recommend.
This app doesn't suit you, it asks for money.
I’ve always wanted to connect better with friends that speak Tagalog and English and with the help of this app have learned so much so thank you! Or salamat 😀
Is there no longer a lifetime subscription for Ling?
Love
In real life people do not choose to immigrate only from countries that have majority Western speakers. I appreciate that I can learn real languages that are spoken in my city like Pashto and Amharic that I cannot get from Duolingo. However, it still has the convenient bite-sized lessons that I cannot fit into my day.

App freezes during speech class
This app seems promising and there is a large variety of available languages. However it is hard to give it more than a 2 star rating given the steep pricing to access anything beyond the first few lessons.
Very good app, enjoying to use it and learning new language. Easy to use , very happy about it. 5 stars for sure!!!
It was perfect until I got to the second unit then it wouldn’t let me do it unless I bought pro which isn’t quiet fair because I love the app it’s great but I don’t wanna buy pro to keep learning Bosnian
Not good for speaking. Also makes if sentences that you have not learned. Quick get rich app for developers. Do not get. I canceled my membership. Hopefully a better speaking AI will get this app out of business.
So much better than duolingo in my opinion, especially when it comes to conversational learning! I love the daily streak update! Can you please add a widget like duolingo where it motivates users to open the app as well as streak count? And also, can adding friends and displaying badges/achievements be added. That would be fun and awesome! 🙏🏼❤️
