I like it, let’s me practice my pronunciations by telling me things to say. Thing is half the time, I’m not fully sure what it’s asking me to say, but I’m just copying it. Some kind of written translation of what we’re saying showing on all things we pronounce as well as the in the native would defo be a good addition

Complete Scam – Level Selection Is Completely Useless!

Total scam! No matter what proficiency level you select, it always starts from the absolute basics. The level selection is completely useless—even if you choose "Fluent," it still starts by teaching you "Hello." Don't waste your time.

Olá, Lucas! Sim, é possível. Você pode definir o português como idioma de origem e escolher o idioma que deseja aprender nas configurações do aplicativo.

Not effective

It just wasn’t affective. It teaches specific things that it wants to teach you in a specific order that it already has programmed. I was studying Italian for personal reasons and told it that I already had a basic foundation in greetings and introducing myself. It still started with teaching me some basic greetings, and then immediately moved into getting around the airport. I tried several times to freestyle talk and I put in the topic and then it would just take me back to teaching me how to say hello. I would not recommend this app.

The problem

I have choose learn English->Explore my own->Teacher mode->How do you say:Food & Drinks->The AI tell me to say water, it is no problem; Then it ask me to say bread, it say me it is not correct, should be say water and I found the display character is still water. I say water again, passed, and then it ask me say bread again, it still display water and said I said bread is not correct, still in the loop of the word water infinity….I think is this AI app play joke on me although the price is not high.

Great app! Great developer!

This is such a good app for learning basic language skills in a variety of languages. It tracks progress, builds on previous teaching, and gives helpful encouragement and tips. It listens effectively and helps you correct your pronunciation in a manner that I find very useful. Just make sure you follow the instructions in the app to get the free high quality voices on your iPhone or iPad - the app shows you how to do it, and recognizes when it’s done.

Daten senden an Google, Aussprache jenseits jeder vernünftigen Muttersprachlichkeit. Eine nur peinliche App. Gebt euer Geld für die Profis aus, nicht für solche albernen Amateur-Apps

Good effort, problematic execution

App is very slow in response time. When offering tips and tricks regarding pronunciation the automated voice skips half the sounds. For example: say "rei" as "rye"; you only hear the words say and as. Nothing else. When ending a lesson and continuing to the next one, you are automatically at the end of the next lesson so you have to go to the main menu and start again where you actually intended. Needs more work

Very bad.

The Ai doesn’t know how to speak the learned language. You say it right and the ai wants you to pronounce different (wrong). I just tried it with Italian.

Good but…

The app itself is good, but why isn't it possible to use a different AI model instead of Gemini—such as ChatGPT, which you could connect using your own API key, or Apple's own AI model? Thats why I haven’t used it yet, privacy is important.


After testing it, I found out that the app doesn't work properly. As a native Turkish speaker, I gave it a try. Correct pronunciation was marked as incorrect, and when I spoke briefly afterward without saying anything, it was recognized as correct. I continued testing it by just clicking the microphone button and saying nothing, and it continued to show the correct result. That's why I've now deleted the app.

My Idea:
Instead of using Gemini as an aid, one could work with Apple's speech recognition. After all, it's a good idea for an app in and of itself.

Ich habe Arabisch ausprobiert. Die Aussprache der KI ist manchmal recht seltsam, sie klingt zudem sehr mechanisch. Viele Wörter werden als richtig erkannt, die wortwörtlich ausgesprochen werden, und nicht, wie es linguistisch korrekt ist oder von der KI ausgesprochen wird. Die Stimme, die die Sätze und Wörter vorspricht ist auch manchmal zu schnell. Es wird nicht zwischen männlicher und weiblicher Ansprache unterschieden, daher bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob man sich z.B. als Frau dadurch eine falsche Aussprache angewöhnt.

Zweite Lektion und schon kommt die ki nicht klar

Habe mal japanisch versucht, nach der ersten Lektion hat er den deutschen Satz „Du hast dir heute viel Mühe gegen…“ als Japanisch erkannt, und möchte von mir das ich den deutschen Satz „japanisch“ ausspreche.
War bisschen witzig aber zeigt das die App aktuell nicht wert ist nur einen Cent auszugeben.

Hallo, es tut uns leid, dass Sie bereits in der zweiten Lektion auf so einen Fehler gestoßen sind. Es gab tatsächlich einen Bug bei der Spracherkennung und Sprachzuordnung, wodurch deutsche Sätze teilweise fälschlicherweise als Japanisch erkannt wurden. Dieser Fehler wurde inzwischen behoben.
