TLDR; this app feels like the developers take their time to implement improvements that users want. All while ensuring that the lessons are well thought out and efficient.
Also, would love this app even more if they made further additions to Indonesian. Learning beyond the A2 level would be nice.

A better Duolingo
I really like the platform because I don’t need to worry about being sold a service. I feel like, I’m actually learning the basics and not just trying to get streaks and beat a game.
Good at first, then sucks.
So you basically get 4 mini lessons where they teach you greetings, and then you gotta pay for anything beyond that. You literally can’t do anything beyond that point unless you pay. It’s a paywall scam if you couldn’t tell, so unless you are willing to pay I would suggest you look at other apps. Have a good day/night!

Best app for language acquisition!
I am the type of person that has been watching anime for over two decades and have been immersed into the sounds of Japanese language and language because of my interest in K-pop and K drama. This app gives me the structured immersive setting that I would get from a classroom in high school, which I haven’t had access to since graduating in 2011. I really feel like I by using this app daily will be fluent conversationally by the end of 2026. I plan on using it every day regardless of how much time and just completing one lesson. Way better than Duolingo.

This app is a paywall trap. It claims to be a great tool for learning hard languages, but it blocks you almost immediately. You only get about 3 free lessons before they demand that you pay for a premium subscription. Don't waste your time downloading it unless you are ready to open your wallet right away

Amazing Update
About 2yrs ago, I gave a feedback here about how nice it would be if I could be corrected on my answers with explanations rather than using ChatGPT. I am so happy to find out today, after abandoning my Korean lessons for a few months , that that feature is now available. This is incredible.

This app is amazing because I started learning Korean (imma try to keep this short) and it helps your with pronunciation of the syllables and I already now the whole Korean alphabet in under 2 days which is bizarre, but I was like really engaged with it and it helped me go over the mistakes I made but 🚨WARN YOU THIS APP IS FOR LIKE ASIAN LANGUAGES LIKE CHINESE, JAPANESE, KOREAN, ECT.🚨

Want to Love It
I really do love this language app, it’s formatted well and easy to understand. But having a pay wall immediately after the first lesson is ridiculous and an immediate 1 star for me. Can’t even go on with ads or anything, have to pay $15 monthly or over $100 just to use app more than 5 minutes
Absolutely Love it!
I’m using this app to learn Japanese! It gives you useful phrases and also explains the grammar of how things are written in Japanese, I’m soo happy with this, not only am I learning to speak it but to read and write it! it also has other languages to learn, I put both my kids on Spanish lessons and I see improvement in their pronunciation.

Ive tried many apps to try to learn Japanese and i gotta say this is by far one of the best ones! I live the feat in where you have to actually say the word and instead of an ai telling if you got it correct you can listen to your own voice and see the difference! It’s a cute and simple app definitely recommend!
