Fun and useful app

Great app for learning southern Vietnamese. A good variety of activities and lots of ability to listen to words being spoken and learn to differentiate tones. Support is quick and responsive.

Not bad

I am in the unique situation that I have been studying Spanish for six years. I am constantly in search of the silver bullet app that will help me the most. This app is almost there because it allows me to focus on what I need to improve the most: my listening. The only problem that I have is when I am building the words using the crossword style exercise. It keeps trying to slide the screen back to the main menu, and therefore it is almost not functional.

Although extremely basic and very slow moving, I will use this to improve my listening.

Great for Cantonese

This is a great app for learning Cantonese. There is one bug that makes it hard to use sometimes which is when needing to select a Chinese character for a multiple choice question, half of the options are so tiny you can't read them, so I just need to guess. Hopefully this can be fixed soon

Cantonese is great

So amazing for leaning Cantonese and makes it as simple as possible so helpful

Solid Southern Vietnamese

Can’t really find another app that has this dialect. Also, the app is made a lot better for people who actually want to learn a language rather than just being a fun thing to play with.

Help

Never have I seen an app with so much effort put into it, at least for Cantonese, a language where there seems to be a drought in resources. Great job on that, but there is a problem, not all audio files do not load for me, making the audio questions impossible. I’m on an iPhone 12 mini

Rich app

Using this for Cantonese learning. Really rich app, and not bloated. Since update May 2026 it’s become even better. Thought that the sentence based lessons would result in me just memorizing sentences without understanding, but luckily that’s not the case. The Cantonese sentences used are pretty formal, so best to pair with other sources to figure out the best words for daily use.

Really good but hard to digest

I think this app is amazing because it offers southern vietnamese which a lot of apps do not offer and it goes super in depth. however, the information is really hard to digest and process because the lessons are very lengthy and are at times a bit confusing and lack clarification. For example when the lessons provides an example for a concept it doesn’t have an option to see the definition of the specific words. This puts a lot of beginner learners who arent good at vocabulary at a disadvantage . Also, the formatting made it really hard to sit through because it was just one dark cohesive colour for the background and icons. Learning in the app is like sitting in a dark room being with a teacher who provides little clarification and yaps and yaps and yaps.I personally have the attention span of a rock so the lack of visuals made it hard to remember anything. I just think it’d appeal to a wider audience such as children and teenagers if there were more visually interesting elements and the information was spread out and bite sized. If I wanted in depth lengthy lessons, I wouldve just watched a youtube video or took a class. Overall, I think the app is really good at providing a lot of information but lacks clarity and engaging visuals.

App is actually high quality

My only asks is a screen time feature, because honestly this app is the perfrct format for screen time blocking for more practice. Also do the lessons go beyond a1?

Great learning app!

I have been using the app for Cantonese and it has been very helpful! Enjoy the format of learning sentences and the constant repetition. Comparative apps are a lot more expensive for a lot less, well worth the money!

App crash

Would enjoy this app a lot more if it didn’t crash halfway through the lesson every time and resetting progress especially after paying for it.

English audio files did not load

As the title says, whenever I open the app and select the course that I want, it at first says to try again later. Then when I click it again, it says the audio files are 0% loaded even when I wait.

Best Cantonese learning app I have found

This is easily the most helpful app I have found for Cantonese learning. I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a Cantonese learning app. The developer is also very helpful and hard working, when there was a small issue, after a report it was fixed the next day. Strongly recommend trying this app.

Great App & Responsive Dev

I started using this app to learn Cantonese and it’s been awesome! I started with Japanese last year using a combination of resources (wanikani, bunpro, anki etc) and I was having a hard time finding an app/apps that could replicate that, but with Cantonese. Lingora meets that sweet spot for me as a catch-all app of grammar, character recognition, and vocabulary. I had also reached out to the dev to ask about a feature I thought would be awesome to see, and he responded saying it was already being worked on and would be released shortly! And then it was! Great app & I hope it continues to be great :).

absolutely amazing omg 🙏🙏

this app helps me with polish grammar more than any other app, i used to use duolingo, which never helped AT ALL. now that i use this app, i feel like in a few weeks i could talk to a native speaker!! i love how this app makes it repetitive as it really helps me remember with what i learnt the lesson before. this language learning app is the beat by far, and i think anyone wanting to learn polish should DEFINITELY get this app.

The app keeps forgetting my status

Twice now I have finished a lesson and next time I launch the app it forgets the progress

Great app for Cantonese

I was just looking for audio lessons but am glad that you’ve included the Cantonese characters. Audio slow/ normal speed options - nice. Also like being able to select a character/ phrase for in depth definition.
Does it work offline? When traveling, for example.

Love the app

Hi. This app had been immensely valuable to me. Thanks for developing it! Just wanted to ask for some help. I use Lingora on a device running iOS and the 'Ignore forever' button doesn't seem to work when I'm practicing vocabulary with the flashcards. Is it a bug or should I just re-install the app? Would reinstalling the app reset my progress?

Great for Cantonese

This is one of the best Cantonese learning apps out there, tried a lot, this is thorough and well laid out

Perfect language learning app!

It’s almost impossible to find a variety of resources for learning Southern Vietnamese. This helps with memorizing sentence structure and vocabulary, which is what I needed. Only thing is sometimes it’s hard to see the tone marks so you get marked wrong and “đi” shows up as “?“ in reviews. But otherwise, most intuitive language learning app for me so far.
