And it has really helped me French improve.
But, there are a couple of things I’m very concerned about:
One is that, to my memory, the app has never been updated since I first downloaded it a couple of years ago. Like never.
It’s pretty stable, but there are some bugs, and it doesn’t seem like these will ever get addressed. I’ve put in a couple of support enquiries before and received no response whatsoever, so I have the impression that someone has made the app, put it on the App Store and has abandoned it.
Thirdly, and this is more of a gripe a functionality thing, the sentences the words are presented within are very dry and conservative. You get the impression that the entire world exists in heterosexual nuclear families where mum stays at home and dad works a corporate job (or perhaps is a civil servant). It feels very hard to relate to and, crucially for language learning, is not memorable.
No added features or improvements based on 100’s of loyal users feedback, simply ignored, over 2yr
Zero added features that hundreds of users thoughtfully suggested and although the Dev responds to just about if not every review & rating and is most courteous and grateful sounding but actions show that it’s all lip service.
So many hundreds of small improvements simply ignored.
I hope this changes it’s just sad.

Russian is no easy language and I like how they have it set up to introduce even novice learners to become familiar with words while also displaying how they’re supposed to be used in context.
There’s a certain amount of hours that’s needed to be put in to acquiring the language and Lingvist helps track it down making it easier to accomplish my goals!!
I’ve had to figure out my own routine and how I could best utilize the Lingvist app to make the most out of it based on the way I learn languages the best.
But I can’t express how much Lingvist has contributed to so much of my Russian language journey ! Maybe in the future, adding a section to where learners can test & gauge their language proficiency would be really cool! Thank you Lingvist team 😭❤️

После оплаты -приложение перестало работать
Переустановка,обращение к операторам связи,впн и прочее- не помогает.

Great for B1-C1 learning
Hoping the next generation of the app includes more information in the tables and notes menu at the bottom of the screen. Would love to see all the conjugations for verb cards. Also, would love descriptions in the notes for similar words. Like in Spanish, the difference between volver and regresar, or despedir, echar, and soltar. I think the note section could give more context for nuances of similar words.
