Signing up is one screen now. • Create your account on the first screen instead of stepping through six. • Your birthday is asked for afterwards, on your profile, rather than at sign-up — so you can get in and look around first. • Under 13 asks for a guardian's email and links them to the account. Hive Tribes • Discover tribes near you, see the ones you are in, and find invites waiting for you. • Sub-tribes nest under their parent. • Tribes use a full address, so distance search works properly. See what is around you • Beams in AR reach up and fade out instead of stopping dead, with a brighter centre and glowing sides. Three styles, including the new prism. • Shop mode: point your phone at a shopfront and see that shop's Free B's. The camera only reads the sign — the picture is never saved or uploaded. • Map pins no longer clump together; stacked pins get a simple pager. • Faster location fix with a sensible fallback when GPS is slow. Sharing and links • Shared links open the app instead of bouncing to the browser, including when the app is already open. • Add an event straight to your calendar, or copy its link. • Invite a friend and you both get an ad-free month. For families • Parents and co-parents both see and act on a child's approval requests. • My Kiddos activity can be searched and filtered. • Clearer under-18 notices in chat, shown once per person. Also • Sign-in is more private: looking up your account by username now happens on our servers instead of through a publicly readable record. • Polls: the keyboard no longer covers the answer box, and write-in answers submit properly. • Names show alongside usernames, so you can tell two people apart. • Select alerts to mark read, unread, or delete. • Dark mode fixes throughout, including event date and time pickers. • Cover photos can be framed rather than cropped. • Better moderation and safety controls, and a pile of keyboard, scrolling and layout fixes.
