About
Linkissh takes you into your office or home network over SSH. It does on iPhone and iPad what SSH port forwarding or a SOCKS proxy does on a computer.
Because iOS apps cannot keep an SSH connection running in the background, Linkissh uses the iOS VPN framework to send your device's traffic through an SSH tunnel. While connected, Safari and your other apps reach the remote network through your SSH server, so internal websites, admin pages, servers and devices just work. No VPN server is needed on the network side.
FEATURES
• SSH tunnel: your device's TCP traffic is encrypted with SSH and connected onward from your SSH server
• Multi-hop SSH: go through as many relay servers (bastion hosts) as you need. From the second hop on, host names are resolved by the server before them, so internal names and private addresses just work
• Routes: line up the servers to go through, and drag to change their order
• Authentication: public keys (Ed25519, ECDSA, RSA) and passwords. Save passwords and passphrases, or type them each time you connect
• Private keys: import them from the Files app; they are stored in this device's keychain
• Host key verification: check the fingerprint the first time you connect. If a server's host key changes, Linkissh refuses to connect
• Name resolution: use the exit server's DNS, DNS servers you specify (through SSH), or this device's DNS
• Exclude local networks: reach devices on your Wi-Fi directly
• Automatic reconnection after network changes and sleep, with optional notifications when the connection drops
• Import and export: servers, multi-hop configurations and private keys in one file, with keys encrypted by your password
PRIVACY
Linkissh collects no data. Nothing is sent to the developer or anyone else; your settings, keys and logs stay on this device. Your traffic goes only to the SSH servers you set up.
PLEASE NOTE
• You need your own SSH server. Linkissh does not provide servers or a VPN service
• The server must allow TCP forwarding (AllowTcpForwarding in OpenSSH, on by default)
• SSH cannot carry UDP, so UDP other than DNS is not forwarded. Some games and calling apps that use UDP may not work while connected
• ICMP (ping) is not supported
