About

LiteraChi writes reading passages at exactly your reader's level, reads them aloud, and asks the kinds of questions a good teacher would ask. Pick a topic — dinosaurs, space, a mystery — and LiteraChi writes a fresh story for it. Seven reading levels, from early readers through SAT prep, so the same app grows with a child instead of being outgrown. READ ALOUD, TOGETHER Tap Listen and the passage is narrated while each sentence highlights in time with the voice, so a reader can follow along instead of losing their place. TAP ANY WORD Stuck on a word? Tap it. You get a definition written for that reader's level, a pronunciation guide, and a syllable split — and you can save the word to practice later. Older readers also get etymology and memory hints. QUESTIONS THAT TEACH Each passage comes with a comprehension check: multiple choice, fill in the blank, true or false, put the events in order, match the words, and write your own answer. Every question explains its answer afterward — the reader sees an explanation at their level, and a parent sees the skill it tested. PRACTICE READING OUT LOUD Read the passage aloud and get feedback on accuracy, pace, and the words that tripped you up. Tap any of those words to add it to your vocabulary list. VOCABULARY AND FLASHCARDS Saved words become a study list with flashcards you can shuffle and flip. SEE HOW IT'S GOING Every finished session is saved: the story, the questions, the answers, the score, and reading speed. Re-read any passage or review any quiz later. FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS One account holds a profile for each reader, each at their own level. A PIN-protected dashboard shows score and reading-speed trends, which comprehension skills are strong or shaky, a suggestion when a reader looks ready to move up a level, and the words worth practicing. BRING YOUR OWN TEXT Upload a .txt, .pdf, or .docx and LiteraChi will rewrite it at your reader's level, then quiz on it. BUILT TO READ IN Light, dark, and sepia themes, adjustable text size, line spacing, and typeface. No ads. No third-party tracking. Sign in with Apple or Google. You can delete your account and all its data from inside the app at any time.

What's New in LiteraChi

1.0.1

August 28, 2026

Reading aloud no longer stops early. Longer stories now get all the time they need, so your reading isn't cut short and graded part-way through — and if a session ever does end unexpectedly, LiteraChi now tells you why. Starter topics match the reading level. Younger readers get pets, colors and weather; older readers get ethics, economics, civics and close reading. Passages are now written in the right style for their subject. A history topic reads like history, a report on a trend reads like journalism, and an argument reads like an essay — at every reading level.
