Fun, easy to keep up with, interesting
I really enjoy this app, I think it is a great social media space for readers. It's fun posting about books or posting book reviews and seeing what other users post in a platform specifically designated for social media. It's easy to navigate compared to other book-specific apps, and the community that has formed there is wonderful to engage with. Users are always hosting challenges, posting interesting reviews or insights, and engaging with each other in a way that feels meaningful. I do wish I could post more than a single photo at a time.

It WAS great…
I used to love Litsy, but the app now has so many bugs that I can’t use it. It hasn’t been updated in 5 years, so that’s not shocking!
Won’t open half the time
I used to love this app but now I never know from one day to the next if I can even get on it. Half the time I get a message “unable to check environment”, whatever that means. And clicking “app support” here just takes you to Librarything. I thought maybe I’d missed an update but apparently the last one was five years ago so I guess the creators have just abandoned it.

Recent issues
Recently I was logged out and cannot log back in due to I always used Facebook as my log in and it gives an error.. so after being a user from the beginning of the app I have to start anew.. frustrated. I love litsy but looks like they need to do some app maintence
Almost perfect!
I love this app. I mean it! I have made friends, exchanged books, joined reading groups, sent snd received presents. Love it! The people are ALL bookish and kind. My ONLY complaint is not being able to zoom in on a photo so we can see details. That’s really it. Please fix this one flaw. 💗😁
Unique and Friendly
Relatively good app so far, easy to use and filled with nice people. I love the unique concept of an app dedicated for book lovers. Though I wish it had a larger user base so that posts would get more interaction and that the occasional slow loading of the app would be fixed. Most importantly, are there going to be any updates on this app? I don’t want to get invested in an app that has been abandoned by the developers...

Perfect for Booklovers
I’ve been on Litsy for about 3 years now, and I have to say it’s my favorite book space/social media. Everyone talks about books, bookish things, and sometimes other things going on in their lives that makes you feel more connected with a person than on other sites. Everyone is very friendly and it’s fun to have a debate on a book, passage, or discussion. Some even post buddy reading days, readathon weekends/holidays, and book club reads! Overall it’s my favorite safe place.

No idea what possible use it could be
No idea what use it could possibly be since there appears no way to add the books I’ve finished reading, am reading, or want to read.
Why did you delete my review
I couldn’t log into the account because it says Forbidden. Is this how you treat your users?
No longer a BOOK group
Too much off topic conversation. 👎🏼👎🏼
Not like it used to be
I have had Litsy for a year now and when I initially started using it, I loved it. Everyone was using it for the way it was intended. Posting their recent reads, quotes from books, and adding reviews.
Within the last few months, the community has taken a turn and now just treat it like Instagram. I have to hunt for review posts. I love the quick review posts this app offers as it’s a quick and straight to the point and has helped me decide if I want to pick a book up or not. But with so many in the community using it has a hangout platform to host games and challenges and no way to actually weed these particular posts out, I no longer see review posts anymore.
I have been utilizing the heck out of the block/mute feature but it gets tiresome having to update it all the time.
It would be wonderful if there was a way to view posts based on what type: quote, blurb or review, since those are the three types the platform lets you post under.
I have met some amazingly nice people on there and I like to use it for how it was intended. I just wish there was an easier way to navigate it to find what I want, since it’s community has grown.
It’s just heavily overrun with game posts and monthly photo challenges. I just want quick reviews and blurbs about books, and conversations about books.

My favorite bookish app
The community of Litsy is simply amazing. Everyone is so friendly and supportive. I never feel judged for gushing about whatever book I just read that I’m writing on there about. There’s always fun swaps and reading challenges going on. Absolutely love this app.
Used to love it, now it doesn’t work
I have an iPhone 8 that is fully updated and the app no longer works. I used to love this app but now have to go to the website which is clunky and a pain. I wish they would fix it!
Very hard to use!!!
Perhaps I should have watched the tutorial at the beginning on how to use the app, however, that still doesn’t change the fact that the app is very hard to use. It’s not intuitive at all. And it also has buttons that don’t look like buttons at all
Better than Goodreads imho
I am glad litsy exists. Goodreads feed is filled up with things I don’t really care about. Litsy looks clean and isn’t as messy. I prefer goodreads challenge, books I’ve read tracking and stats, and reviews. But if I’m I’m the mood to scroll, litsy wins every time.
Ahh
See, my goodreads is attached to my kindle, but I like this app better. But then I have to use both at once for updating my reading, I wish there was a way goodreads could connect, so I don’t have to add all the books I’ve read and am reading to both
Love the app, buggy lately
I LOVE Litsy. Lately it’s been super buggy though. I have the newest iPhone and when I’m scrolling I am constantly being redirected to links that I’m not clicking on. I can’t just scroll through anymore and so I’ve been using it less and less. Used to be on all the time and I think the last time I posted was a few weeks ago. Hope they fix this soon! It was my favorite social media app.
