Worthless

This app does nothing.

It crashes

I updated my phone so it’s IOS16 now. I see that the developers have tried to fix the crashes but I’m still having that problem: click on any tab and the app crashes. I tried to restart my phone and re-download the app multiple times. Please fix it thank you!!

Not working with iOS 16

I have updated the app this morning that should have fixed the crashing when changing tabs in iOS 16 but it still continues to crash every time. Update notices are on Discord but how do we find that?

Broken at notifications step

When you go through the first-time setup, the process us broken at the “Let us tell you about important things in the app” step. There is no way to opt out, or even to opt in.

I’d like to use this app, but I can’t get started.

Literally Addictive

I definitely picked up 1,000’s of more litter because of this app. It automatically creates a fascinating map, by gps locating litter that you photograph, as you collect it. You can tag the litter with the source, such as McDonalds, and type, such as #plastic cup. It’s surprising how pieces add up quickly, and by viewing the leader board, you can compete to pick up the most in the last 24 hours, worldwide! Very cool.

My only critique is that the app does make your data public, so be sure not to use your real name or profile picture.

Great app!

Please pick up!

Great app, need ability to ‘trash talk’ in challenges

Love the app, and it does motivate me to pick up trash. I’ve experienced some issues with not being able to take photos without freezing up after I’ve uploaded 20-30 photos in a row. The one major improvement I would suggest is that there should be a way to trash talk with other users that are in your challenges. Would be fun and could be a cool feature of the app.

Litterati

This app doesn’t work for I phones

Lots of photos

I think the purpose of this app is great. Keeping the planet clean and the animals safe is key. Taking a photo of each piece of trash however is a bit excessive in my opinion. Unless I’m missing something but my impression is photos of every piece of trash.

Great idea and a solid App

The app does its job. Takes pictures of the trash and location + time are added. When you tag things it is quite nice that often the tag suggestions already describe the trash correctly... One issue I have to mention however: today I started with a battery of 76% and only 60min later the battery was below 10%. You really need to rework your energy management. Thanks for your effort!

Great idea, not so good execution

When trying to upload more than a few photos, it takes forever if not never uploading them.

If I could give this Zero stars I would

Update: on 1/12/21, received response from developer and they said posts are not deleted on Facebook. I posted again and the post was quickly taken down and deleted.

I am so disappointed with this app. I wanted our Girl Scout troop to use it for their service project of cleaning up the environment. You have to take a picture of every single piece of trash and upload it. This is insane. You spend more time taking pictures and uploading them rather than picking up trash. I posted this issue on the Litterati Facebook page and they deleted my post without responding. So terrible! I would not download this app and frustrate your friends and family that are legitimately trying to clean up their environment.

I love this

Me and my friend starting doing this not that long ago and on are first day we picked up 250 pieces of trash it felt amazing. The next few days we took groups of little kids out with us and taught them a lot of lessons about making are environment healthier. These kids started picking up there own trash and got so excited over it. I cannot tell you how happy this made me I was in shock of how I was helping others and are environment. So overtime we had groups of different people we taught about picking up trash that did it on there own. I could not be more proud of myself for it. This app really changes people’s thought on helping are environment and just overall spreading awareness and I love it.

Best app ever!

I love Litterati! Before downloading the app, I had never even thought of going out and picking up trash, or even picking up trash that I walked by! The map feature to tell where you picked up the trash, as well as the leaderboard make this app amazing! I do have a few suggestions, though. First of all, on the leaderboard where it shows how much trash the top countries have picked up, I think you should be able to click on the country and see where the trash was picked up. You can do this with the people on the leaderboard, but sadly not the countries. Also, I’m pretty sure when you go to the global litter map online, it doesn’t show where all of the trash is being picked up like before. I think this is a glitch, but you might want to get it checked out.

Littering my love for this app all over!

Loving this app, the challenges and the data!

Great app

As a competitive person that cares about the earth, this is the perfect app. I love challenging myself and others to see how much trash we can pick up. As a teacher, this was great to use with students for the community service portion of our homecoming spirit week.

Gamifying impact!

This made picking up litter and cleaning up our planet so much more fun

Gamification of taking care of the Earth!

This app is an amazing way to make an impact on your daily walk! Filled with challenges and scoring, Litterati allows you to turn being kind to Mother Earth into a game. This means that it’s great for people of all ages — and would be especially great for teaching school-aged children the impact of their litter cleanup. With it’s easy to use interface, location tracking, and amazing AI, the data that Litterati collects is invaluable to the companies that are affecting and the cities that are affected the most. This app is truly influencing positive change, and you can be part of that by downloading!

Love this app!

I highly recommend this app! It feels so good to directly be able to see and track my impact. It’s awesome to be active and getting outside while also making a positive ripple effect on the environment. I’m proud to be part of the Literatti movement and have been encouraging my friends and family to do the same. ❤️🙏

Don’t be a Litterbug! No worries-There’s an awesome app for that.

Back in the 1950’s and 1960’s, a campaign was created in response to a huge litter problem. People threw their garbage out car windows with little thought to where that litter would end up. In the public’s defense, back in the 50’s and 60’s, they were not aware of the huge devastating effects litter would have on the environment. It is 2020, and we have have known for years, just how litter has poisoned our world. It is up to us to be the stewards of the world that we leave to future generations. Let us keep Our World clean and healthy. A clean and litter free world is a beautiful world. Let’s do it! It’s not that hard! In fact, there’s an App for that. It’s called Litterati!
