About

Little A is a calm baby tracker for the first years: sleep, feeds and breastfeeding, diapers, walks, weight, height and head circumference. It is free. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and nothing is locked behind a paywall. BOTH PARENTS, ONE LIST Invite your partner by email from Settings. They install Little A, sign up with that address, and see the same children and entries straight away. Log from either phone; everything stays in sync, and works offline. TWO TAPS, HALF ASLEEP One tap when the baby falls asleep, one when they wake. Feeds with quick-pick amounts in millilitres or ounces. Breastfeeding with a timer or an amount, and which side. Diapers as wet, soiled or mixed. Pumping and medicine too, if you need them. Undo the last entry with one tap, and edit any entry when a timer was left running. WITHOUT OPENING THE APP A Home Screen widget with the name, the age, what is happening now with a running timer, and today's totals. Buttons on it start a sleep or a walk. A separate Lock Screen widget counts down to the next feed. There is a Lock Screen card and a Dynamic Island too, and Siri can start a sleep or a walk without the phone being unlocked. THE DAY, IN ORDER Sleeps, feeds and the awake windows between them, in one timeline. Totals for the day, the week and the month. Longest sleep, longest awake stretch, how much was drunk. WALKS AND GROWTH Start a walk, let the timer run, finish when you are home. Log weight, height and head circumference whenever you measure and watch them change. WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW Twelve age windows, from two months to five years. Each one holds the skills most children reach around then, which you tick off the first time you see them and keep with the date; things to do together at that age; the growth spurts with the dates they fall on for your child; when teeth usually come through; how much sleep and how much crying is normal at that age; and the signs worth calling a doctor about. The milestone checklists are the CDC's Learn the Signs. Act Early., revised in 2022 with the American Academy of Pediatrics: every item is a skill 75% or more of children have at that age. The growth spurts come from USDA WIC and the AAP, the teeth from the American Dental Association chart, the sleep figures from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Every source is named on the screen, and the app gives no medical advice. VACCINES ON SCHEDULE Schedules differ between countries, so there are two: Ukraine and the United States. Pick yours and the list and its source change together. Doses are grouped by visit: at two months that is one trip, not five. Tick off what has been given and the date stays. A due dose never turns into a missed one – a vaccine given late is still given. Each schedule comes from the order that establishes it, and the source is named on the screen. It is a reference, not a prescription: timing and contraindications are for your doctor. A PAGE FOR THE PAEDIATRICIAN One page with what gets asked at a check-up: a fortnight of sleep and feeds, and weight, height and head circumference with their centiles. Saved as a PDF and shared from the app. The centiles are the WHO Child Growth Standards, named the same way. WORKS WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT Use it with no sign-up at all and everything stays on your phone. Create an account only when you want a second device or a second parent. YOUR DATA No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no analytics, no access to contacts, photos or location. Export every entry to a spreadsheet whenever you like, and keep a backup that moves everything to a new phone. Entries from another tracker come across as a CSV: the app works out the columns itself and shows you what it found before writing anything. Delete your account from Settings in two taps. Available in English, Russian and Ukrainian. If Little A helps your family, there is a tip jar in Settings. It unlocks nothing. Privacy policy and support: https://littlea.us/privacy
