US only?

Having downloaded the App I see that the nearest delivery is the US (I’m in the UK), apparently using my location… delivery takes 40-60mins. Hmmm… Would be really helpful if the locations available were made clear before having to download. I’m sure the App is great, just not for finding locations.

Favorite Vegan App

Essential app for any vegan or vegetarian in Philadelphia! Not only does it offer a great delivery option, but it lists vegan options at most of the restaurant in Philly. This app makes it so much easier to be vegan and enjoy going out with non-vegan friends and family. It has saved me on many occasions, I wish I knew about this amazing app sooner. Definitely download and sign up if you are in the Philly area!!

Tremendous!

I have been a vegan for almost a year now and I must say, Live Better is a NECESSITY if you are looking for high quality vegan restaurants in Philadelphia. The app is very user friendly and they have an abundance of amazing vegan restaurants on their app. I have been using Live Better for a few months now and I wish I hear about it earlier. Tremendous app and I cannot recommend enough!

They Sell Meat

This app allows the sale of meat, so long as ‘enough’ vegan food is purchased alongside it.
Live Better states they allow this as they fear people will give up on being vegan if they cannot order together with their meat-eating peers. This overlooks how said groups of people could simply order their vegan food options off of any of the many non-vegan delivery apps.
Live Better’s choice is thus to knowingly profit off of animals who suffered before being killed for meat, which is not a vegan position.

Great app

I used this app when I travel to Philly. Great way to find my vegan spots and found some new spots I had no idea were vegan 🌱. The delivery is an added plus!! Really great service

Incredible Concept Made by Incredible People

Can’t say enough good things about the folks behind this app and what they’re trying to do for vegan & vegan-friendly folks. Also — electric food warmers?! Game changer.

They are a small, but reliable startup which means two things: there will inevitably be growing pains, BUT it’s really easy to talk to the folks behind the app and get issues taken care of quickly, reasonably, and with a genuine smile. They have gone above and beyond for me countless times.

This team is doing amazing work changing what delivery apps could and SHOULD be. They will always have my support!

Love this app!

Not only is the concept great, but the delivery people are sooo nice and communicate with you throughout the entire process. They are now my go-to app anytime I need to order delivery or even to just see what is vegan at local restaurants. Thanks for creating such a great app and offering excellent delivery services!

The delivery app vegan food seekers have needed

I downloaded Live Better after seeing them mentioned at one of my favorite Philly restaurants. It's such a great app for vegan spots, shows all the open vegan spots in Philly, which are available for delivery, and as it's connected to ApplePay, it's fairly seemless to order and tip (you cab order pick up two). The charge for delivery to you and the restaurant is leas than the popular big apps, and the delivery is fast! Not only is it a great delivery app, it's Black owned and Philly based.

Recommend for anyone!!

This app has made my transition to becoming vegan 10x easier. When I need some ideas on where to eat Live Better saves the day. The best app for vegans!

Update break??

Just downloaded - would love to use but it is stuck on a “please update to newest version” screen. Tried undownloading and redone loading a few times over the last week.

Missing essential food service delivery functions

This app is great for finding vegan options but there is no in-app record of your orders, no order tracking and no customer service contact information.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We took your feedback seriously and added a way to contact customer service right through the app! Check the newest update to see! With order tracking it is very difficult to build that process out being a new startup :(. To put it in perspective it took Doordash, Ubereats, etc... Over 3 years each to implement. This is why we hire vetted drivers so they can keep you updated about your order the entire way and you never have any worries! You can't see their location but you will know what is going on at all times! As far as in app record of orders we can get working on that! Thank you again for the feedback!

Yelp and Happy Cow do not compare to this app! The founder and owner was sick of the poor vegan food conditions and BUILT THE APP HIMSELF to make life happier and easier for vegans. 10/10

Amazing Concept

Hi! I absolutely love this concept. It actually provides vegans and vegan friendly eaters the ability to not sift through place after place looking through entire menus to see if we can have something at that restaurant. It also allowed me to find items that I didn’t know a place offered because looking at the menu became too overwhelming.

Note to the developer: I like the app overall. I have an issue with where some buttons and links are placed. Some are placed close to the bottom of the screen with a small click area. I keep hopping out of the app when I want to click something like the menu button.

Also, can’t wait for this to take off for traveling purposes :)

Between this and HappyCow (which doesn’t have an order function) there’s no reason in the world to have to eat bad vegan options in Philly or anywhere. I had no idea some of these places even knew what “vegan” meant. (Although obviously they all should…) Already impressed. Thanks!

Love the concept, but app is hard to use

Gave 5 stars because I don’t want to hurt the start up & really love the concept. But I want to give dev team feedback. Maybe spend some time on UX and make the ordering/delivery component more accessible. I’ve spent 10 minutes in the app trying to figure out how to order from a partner restaurant & could only click on them on map and pull up contact info. Couldn’t figure out menu or order mechanics. Tried using the app at noon on a weekday so I’m assuming delivery should be available over lunch breaks.

All delivery partners will be marked with a yellow takeout pin on the food finder and you can also filter them out. On the list all the delivery partners will be the first listing to show (By location) and we have marked each restaurant with a delivery icon, pick- up icon, or both depending on what we offer for that partner. I love that they help restaurants prosper instead of hurt like other delivery services. Then my driver was also so nice and friendly! I recommend for any vegan!

Great team, great experience

My experience with this app has been amazing for the stage this startup is in. Access to great restaurants and wonderful service and a well captured niche.
