HDR, colors, and all details stay fully intact. - High & Balanced: compress further with HEIC while still keeping HDR. - Compatible & Smallest: JPEG options for maximum compatibility or minimum size. HDR PRESERVED Based on your feedback: conversions no longer wash out HDR photos. By default we don't re-encode your photo at all - we simply remove the video part, which is where the wasted space lives. Lowers quality and loses HDR

The app converts photos from HEIC to JPG and loses HDR in the process. This makes photos look worse.

Thank you so much for this feedback. You were right, and I shipped a fix because of it. In version 1.3.0, I changed the default behavior so the app no longer converts photos to JPEG. It now removes only the video portion of each Live Photo and keeps the photo itself untouched. Your HDR, colors, metadata, and full quality stay exactly as you shot them. I also added quality options in Settings if you want to compress photos further. If you try the update, I would really appreciate it if you considered revisiting your rating.
