Simply does not work
The app is useless, apprently (from the reviews) works only on a small number of photos, which of course is a nonsense since you want to use is when you are running out of space. đđ»
No longer works.
I have an iPhone XS running IOS 18 and the app just spins and spins when âcleaningâ - even when only 1 photo is selected.
This is very needed functionality as it saves much space. Hope this gets updated but doubt it.

Iâm new to the iPhone and didnât even realize what Live Photos was doing. 6,000 photos later, I found this app. Does exactly what it says it can do. Thanks to the developer for putting this out for free.

Sadly, doesnât work
Wanted to use this as my Live got turned on and had way too many photos that needed cleaning up. Read a great review, but it would hang up and nothing would happen. Using iPadOS 16.5.1 (c) so itâs up to date.

I wanted to convert live photos to normal photos before backing them up to my Google photos.

Does exactly whatâs advertised.
I had about 10000 pics with Live Photo on. I selected all and then hit check selection. At first it was telling me I would save 0.0MB but after a min it updated to 16779.4 MB would be saved by converting to Live Photos. I deselected all and manually selected about 100 images and hit clean and it converted all of them from Live Photos to stills. The only unavoidable issue is that while the converted image does retain the original date of the image they do show up as most recent in your recent photos list though. Iâm now working on doing this for the majority of my Live Photos and reclaiming that 16gbs of space.

Im Ansatz ganz okay, allerdings noch nicht sonderlich ausgereift. Einen schwarzen Bildschirm beim ersten Start hatte ich ebenfalls. Hier half die Foto-Freigabe in den Einstellungen.
Die Umwandlung von zwei Live Photos in normale Fotos funktionierte einwandfrei. Die originalen Live Photos wurden wie gewĂŒnscht gelöscht (in gelöschte Elemente verschoben) und die Einzelfotos ohne Live in die Mediathek kopiert (da ich die Option, die Fotos in ein eigenes Album zu schieben deaktiviert habe). Ein Einsparpotenzial von circa 6 MB. Wenn ich das auf meine ganze Mediathek hochrechne, kommt da einiges zusammen.
Sehr gut finde ich auch die Möglichkeit, dass unbearbeitete Live Photos von bereits bearbeiteten getrennt bearbeitet werden können.
Soweit so gut !
Allerdings stĂŒrzt die App bereits bei der Auswahl von sechs Fotos (bei mir reproduzierbar) ab, nachdem sie einige Zeit âherumgerödeltâ hat.
Die Funktion âalle auswĂ€hlenâ wĂ€re daher hervorragend, ist allerdings in diesem Entwicklungsstand der App nicht nutzbar!
Lieber Entwickler: diese App hat Potenzial und sollte um die InstabilitĂ€t und Fehler bereinigt werden. Danach stĂŒnde aus meiner Sicht auch einer Kaufversion nichts im Weg, solange es kein ĂŒberteuertes Abo Modell wĂ€re.
Ich persönlich wĂŒrde fĂŒr eine App mit der Möglichkeit den Speicherplatz meiner (Live)Fotos immens zu verringern zwischen drei und fĂŒnf Euro bezahlen. DafĂŒr mĂŒsste sie allerdings funktionieren!

Unexpected App Crash / Not working
App closes unexpectedly when performing a clean, even on small number of Live Photos. Crash also occurs when all Live Photos (10.000+) are just selected using Select all.
Good app!
Great app with a couple issues. It has a hard time to load a huge library, and it doesnât let you select only the Live Photos that havenât been edited. Otherwise works great, thanks for the app!!!

Die App ist sehr einfach gehalten, braucht keine unnötigen Rechte und vor allem speichert sie die Bilder wieder im HEIC-Format.
Sind viele Bilder ausgewĂ€hlt (ca. bei 1GB an ausgewĂ€hlten Fotos) erhalte ich jedoch folgende Meldung â[âŠ](PHPhotosErrorDomain-Fehler 3301.)â und der Vorgang bricht ab.
