About
LoanTrail Salary Tracker helps you see whether your raises actually beat inflation—and how your pay has grown over your career. Log salary changes, bonuses, and yearly inflation on your iPhone. You enter your own numbers (no bank login, no employer connection). All data stays on your device.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Try Demo Mode (optional guided tour) or preview sample data before entering your own career
• Eight charts—customize three on your dashboard; All charts browses every type in an expanded view. Export any chart as a PNG. Charts span your full career—drag along a chart to scrub year-by-year callouts
• Raise vs inflation: real (net) raise bars with nominal raise and inflation reference lines—the chart that answers “did I actually get ahead?”
• Real salary in today's dollars, salary vs inflation baseline, net raise by year, base vs gross salary (with bonuses), bonuses by year, inflation by year, and you vs US median wage (bundled benchmark)
• Multiple income streams—track jobs, contracts, and side income; view one stream or All income combined; mark streams as ended when you leave a role
• Salary tab: starting salary, individual raises (yearly or hourly), categories, bulk entry for several years at once
• Bonuses tab: gross and/or net amounts, retirement-fund flag, bonus categories
• Dashboard stat cards: current salary, latest raise, real and nominal growth since your start
• Year Summary for any year—raises, bonuses, inflation, and net raise in one place
• Dashboard Career timeline—preview your salary path across jobs, then customize and export a shareable poster (milestones, gaps, and side-income labels)
• Optional milestone celebrations for raises, bonuses, and job anniversaries (toggle in Settings)
• Optional app lock—require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode before viewing salary data (Settings → Privacy & security; off by default). When locked, iOS presents authentication automatically on return to the app; passcode entry is on the system sheet (Enter Passcode after Face ID), not a separate in-app button
• CSV backup and restore—raises, bonuses, inflation, and categories; replace or merge when moving to a new phone
• Edit inflation rates (app ships with 1970–2025 US seed data you can change; restore a year to the built-in default when editing)
TRUST & LIMITATIONS
• Estimates and analysis only—not from your employer or the IRS; not tax, legal, or investment advice
• Optional app lock hides salary data behind Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode via Apple's system authentication UI—it does not encrypt the database or protect exported CSV backups. No in-app passcode field; iOS handles biometric → passcode fallback
• Inflation is manually entered or edited—no live CPI feed in this release
• US wage benchmark is bundled reference data (BLS-based), updated via app updates—not a live lookup
• Combined “All income” totals sum active streams; ended jobs stay in history but stop future anniversary celebrations
• Net raise uses a standard inflation-adjusted formula; your situation may differ
FREE VS PAID (HONEST)
