About
Local Inspect is a proper web inspector for iPhone and iPad. Open any live URL or a local project folder and dig into the page the way you would on a desktop, no Mac required.
INSPECT THE PAGE
• Element tree with the matched CSS, computed styles and a live box-model overlay
• Tap any element to select it; edit CSS values, attributes and text and see changes live
• Accessibility view: role, name, ARIA and WCAG colour contrast
• View the source, served and rendered, with syntax highlighting and full text selection
CONSOLE, NETWORK AND MORE
• Console with log levels, filtering, search and a REPL to run JavaScript
• Network panel with headers, payloads, response bodies, sizes and timing
• Resources, Storage (local/session/cookies) and Performance (Core Web Vitals)
• Built-in accessibility and best-practice audits
• Emulate iPhone, iPad and desktop viewports
AI ASSISTANT (bring your own key)
• Ask about a selected element, the whole page or your project
• Works with Claude, OpenAI or Google Gemini using your own API key
• Get explanations and one-tap fixes you can apply to the page
• Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn the assistant on
LOCAL-FIRST
Pages you open stay on your device. The assistant only sends what you ask it to, straight to the provider you choose with your own key.
LOCAL INSPECT PRO (one-time unlock)
• Host a local project folder over a real http origin, so modules, routing and same-origin fetch all work
• Accurate server-side Network panel and network throttling
• Project-wide AI Q&A across your files
• One-tap fixes for audit findings
• Export the Network log as HAR and the Audit and Performance panels as reports
• Saved console snippets, including run-on-load
The full element inspector, console, source view and element/page AI chat are free. Pro is a single non-consumable purchase, no subscription.
