Great App, But Missing iOS to Android Sharing
Great app, but one frustrating limitation
This app is very minimalistic, smooth, and easy to use. However, it’s really frustrating that I can send files from Android to iOS, but I can’t send files from iOS to Android.
This issue has been around for quite a while, and I really hope you can fix it. If you add iOS to Android file sharing, I’ll gladly give this app 5 stars!

Stop emailing yourself!
For years I’ve been emailing myself photos, documents, etc. I knew Airdrop and Dropbox were a thing, but this app makes life 1000% easier than all of them without an account or subscription!! I am definitely going to donate to them!
Just beware, you might need to allow LocalSend on your Windows firewall settings, so do a little research on how to do that and you’re set!

Great when it works but frustrating as hell when it doesn’t.
When it works, it is the best tool for transferring files locally. When it doesn’t work however… you can try resetting devices, messing with firewalls, sharing via a link, restarting servers, turning off VPNs, turning off cellular, slamming your head into the keyboard, exhaust all troubleshooting options and it STILL won’t work.

Great App
I'm using this app more than a year, Its a great open-source app by a very responsible developer. He could make it like other apps that you need to signup with your personal information, pay or display ads and many other ways to make money out of it but he kept it completely clean, free and opensource. Thank you

Worked perfectly
Sent a music file from a Linux os to my iPhone. Download was quick, file works perfectly. Now I have a playlist independent of ads and reception. The app is great!

Great when it’s updated
Currently on version 1.17 on laptop, not working with version 1.18.1 on iOS/iPadOS. Haven’t posted 1.18 exe installer on their website yet. Could have rolled back update to make it work again but chose not too.

Il faut sélectionner les photos à transférer une à une… Si j’avais seulement quelques photos à transférer je me les serais envoyées par email et n’aurais pas pris la peine de chercher une meilleure solution.
Finally found a good app
Works perfectly well to send and receive files without the need of cables.

I tried so hard to like this app, but it seems it simply relies on luck whether it will work for you. Fantastic if you’re one of the lucky ones, but for the rest of us… not so much.
No amount of using the same internet, directly entering the IP, or any other fix would make this work. Just… disappointed

Life saver!
I have to use an iPhone because my Android has to be repaired. The Apple app wouldn’t transfer my files, but LocalSend works like a charm. Android device without Google services.
Samsung also works.
An die meckernde Meute: Gleiches WLAN, mobile Daten ausschalten, VPN deaktivieren, dann klappt es. Und unter Android die Batterie-Optimierung ausstellen. Falls ihr eine Firewall verwendet: App zulassen.
LocalSend ist wirklich kinderleicht zu bedienen. Nur ein Stern ist eine Frechheit, für jemanden, der eine tolle App in seiner Freizeit programmiert und diese dann kostenlos anbietet. Macht es doch besser.

Photos from my Android phone to my Mac computer. Audio files from my Mac to my Android phone. Files from my Dad’s Windows computer to my Mac. Easy to change destinations with a tap or a click. Easy to reset back. An app that just works that makes so many people’s lives better. We are so grateful. Thank you.
