Wants access to entire photo library
An otherwise perfect, *almost* privacy-sensitive local file transfer solution. Unfortunately it wants access to your entire photo library instead of using the correct APIs, which is no longer excusable.

Slow send speed?
It used to be quick to send a few videos or photo to PC but as of late it has gotten so extremely slow. Anyone else experience this?

Transferred 20 files from my Linux Ubuntu laptop to my Iphone 16 pro max, 400MB in less than 20 secs. Realy good👍

Solved a huge problem for me!!!!
I never review Apps! I was so frustrated trying to transfer photos between my iPhone and windows I was thinking of switching to an android, to use Google Quick share. This app does the same thing and works for the iPhone! Now I can transfer photos between my iPhone and Windows 11, easily without having to use a flash drive! Thank you, LocalSend! Might be my favorite app ever!!!

Good but with a catch
It’s actually great for sending files between devices , however there seems a issue specifically on ios side, as sending from ios to any other device is a hell and has trash speed. But receiving from other device to ios works fast
But for any other non ios devices , it works great with high speeds, i use it to regularly transfer GBs worth of anime, donghua files between devices and its very fast .

Great App, But Missing iOS to Android Sharing
Great app, but one frustrating limitation
This app is very minimalistic, smooth, and easy to use. However, it’s really frustrating that I can send files from Android to iOS, but I can’t send files from iOS to Android.
This issue has been around for quite a while, and I really hope you can fix it. If you add iOS to Android file sharing, I’ll gladly give this app 5 stars!

Stop emailing yourself!
For years I’ve been emailing myself photos, documents, etc. I knew Airdrop and Dropbox were a thing, but this app makes life 1000% easier than all of them without an account or subscription!! I am definitely going to donate to them!
Just beware, you might need to allow LocalSend on your Windows firewall settings, so do a little research on how to do that and you’re set!

Great when it works but frustrating as hell when it doesn’t.
When it works, it is the best tool for transferring files locally. When it doesn’t work however… you can try resetting devices, messing with firewalls, sharing via a link, restarting servers, turning off VPNs, turning off cellular, slamming your head into the keyboard, exhaust all troubleshooting options and it STILL won’t work.

I'm using this app more than a year, Its a great open-source app by a very responsible developer. He could make it like other apps that you need to signup with your personal information, pay or display ads and many other ways to make money out of it but he kept it completely clean, free and opensource. Sent a music file from a Linux os to my iPhone. Download was quick, file works perfectly. Now I have a playlist independent of ads and reception. The app is great!
