Surprised
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years. I had no problems moving my information from my old iPhone to a new one. I have been very happy with the performance of this app and was surprised to see the lack of users and ratings.

Don’t waste your money. Years ago,I paid for the pro version. My husband did not purchase LockBox Pro but continued to use the free version until the purchase of his iPhone 7. Then, as mine, it would not work.
I have always enjoyed LockBox Pro until I got my iPhone 7. After backing up and exporting data from my old phone, LockBox Pro would not import my data into the 7. I saved my exported data hoping for an update to Lockbox Pro.
In the meantime, my husband and I purchased 1Password. 1Password is great but there were still occasions when I wished that I could have used my LockBox Pro. After installing iOS 11 and finding LockBox had been updated to work with iOS 11, my husband’s free version started working.
My Pro version, however, still will not import my backed-up data. While the import/export web page says that my data has uploaded, the app is empty. After reinstalling the app and restarting phone, still no data.
What a shame. There is no longer a developer web page and no support.

However, the update doesn’t even work. when you open up the app there’s nowhere to punch in your password. You will lose everything. Love this app
Please can you look at IOS 11 update. The login screen where the keypad is does not show the keys clearly. I managed to open the app however it is extremely difficult to see the numbers. Please can you look at this and address. I love your app, thank you!
Simple but works
I have used this for years and it works for me. I like that I don't have to sign up on a website for the ability to store or upload my passwords. Everything is localized to my phone with no middle man. I can easily download/reupload my entire password list via wifi. Thank you for updating this app to work with iOS 11!

Please update to 64-bit
I love this app!!!!! But, needs to be updated. The latest versions of iOS are built on 64-bit architecture, meaning that older 32-bit apps are generally going to be sluggish — and could even cause your iPhone to run slower. Future versions of iOS will nix 32-bit support entirely.

I have used this app for several years. I even updated to the pro version. My only concern is will this app be updated to 64bit so it will continue to work on iOS. Programmer, will you be updating this to 64 bit? Thx for making a great program.

For years now since I've had this app the ONLY issue I had was that anytime I got a new iPhone and opened the app all of my data was gone AND it never allowed me to get to the export/import screen on the web browser. I had to write down all the info before switching phones and THEN type ALL of the data back into the new phone (HATED that, lol). But NOW for the FIRST TIME EVER when upgrading to my iPhone 5 I was able to get the export/import screen on the web browser. Tried both exporting and importing and they worked although I guess switching from one phone to another will still lose my data as I've read. The GOOD thing is that all I have to do is import the data that I previously exported. So basically YES it works, lol.

Free app is great!
I've loved the Free app for years. I just bought the Pro version when I upgraded to iPhone 5, but it took quite a while to figure out how to transfer my data. It's nice not having ads on the Pro, but there's a big white space on the Pro screen where they would normally appear on the Free version screen. All-in-all, I think the Pro version is too pricey for the minimally added features. Do appreciate having Lockbox though, so thanks.

import doesn't work
I've been using LockBox for a couple of years now. I just purchased an iPad, and wanted to export from my iPhone to the new device. I upgraded to LockBox Pro in order to gain the import capability. Unfortunately, the screens are identical to the non-pro version, with no obvious way to import files from the lite version. Online documentation (once I finally found it) is no help - it shows different screens than I'm seeing. Support website doesn't seem to have been updated since 2010 - app itself hasn't been updated since 2011.

Help or Money Back!!!
I've used LockBox free for some time, but wanted to update to Pro to get rid of the ads. Fail. The import function did not work to add all of my account information to the Pro version. There was information in the support docs on issues with the recent iOS update, but this was not the cause. For whatever reason only the one of my accounts is importing (the last on my long list of credentials) and strange characters are being added to the end of every data field. Upon seeking support from the developer I was unable to find any way to contact them. Refund my $2.99 as soon a humanly possible.

I love the app. What I don't like is that there is no way to communicate with them to offer sigestions to help make the app better, or more versitle. Suggesdtion like if you have along string of characters to enter could the font size adjust down so it can be viewd on the main screen, or be able to insert a return into a field to accomidatete a paragraph?

Great if you never change phones
I never had a problem exporting my data from LockBox Pro. But I bought a new phone and could not import the data back in (I read all the forums; I tried everything). Finally, I re-typed it all back in. Then my new phone had a hardware problem and I needed to replace it after the first week. Again, LockBox Pro would not import data in. That's when I deleted the app. I'll never waste my time like that again.

Don't buy this, you'll regret it
After my iPhone dies and I'm forced to get a new one is a fantastic time to discover Lockbox Pro never actually backed up my data so I can't restore my passwords onto a new device. Absolutely unacceptable. These programmers don't understand the most fundamental concept of syncing to keep a backup copy of your data. Deleting this piece of crap now, and I hope your servers crash so you're forced to recreate your data all over again like you're forcing me to.

NEEDS AN UPDATE!!
It's an awesome concept to be able to save all this info to on your phone and import it to your computer, but it doesn't work the way it was designed to work!! I'm really disappointed, as are the majority of your customers based on these reviews, because I just wasted $3 on your product!! I'm sure if you just tweaked a few things here and there it would work just fine, but you've just neglected your product after taking your customer's money!! UPDATE THE APP!!

Could be better
I have been using LockBox pro since my first gen iTouch and not much has changed. When other apps have made changes to take advantage of being able to files and data from itunes I of course thought lockbox would take advantage of this feature but it has not. Using the web browser is slow and sometimes just doesn't work and also not as safe as using itunes. It would also be nice if the exported data was encrypted, after all the program is called lock box and contains data that you don't want other to have access to, so keeping an unencrypted version on you laptop or desktop does not make sense. Like others have stated it would be nice to have a search feature and be able to change icons and have custom categories. This was one of the first and best password programs on itunes, it is really ashame that it hasn't advance with features and kept up with the changes in iTunes and iOS version.

January 2012 and still...
Still having issues with backing up and restoring! Very painful to list dozens of entries again by hand. Backup directions are lacking with no clear explanations! Need to explain every step including how saving a simple text file with browser information will "restore" your information to the iPhone when a restore is needed. Also, grey ad bar from free issue still floats at the bottom in the way of bottom entry, of course it is now empty... Why have this still there? Disappointed... Please address these issues... Will update rating when you update app. Email me to clarify if you like.

Lost all my passwords few days after phone upgrade
Upgraded my phone to iPhone 4GS and had all my apps transferred to the new phone, including the Lock Box Pro. All was well until about a week later, when all my passwords mysteriously disappeared. I did have backup elsewhere, but what happened? Do I take a chance and re-enter all my data or look for another app? Not too happy now.

Ok they have fixed the upload issue so backing up and restoring the data on a different phone is no longer a problem. Good program.
Works just fine, could be improved
I find the app works just fine for my needs. It could be improved though. My suggestions would be:
1. add a search feature. If people really were to use this app properly they would have hundreds of passwords and data inside lockbox. You need an easy way to find the data, instead of scrolling through 20+ pages manually.
2. Make it possible to customize your own categories. The preselected categories are not bad, but everyone using this app has data and things that fall outside of those and simply putting all of it in "other" is weak. Selecting other icons would also be a great additional feature.
After all this is the "pro" version, so it should be professional, right?
