Touching a photo doesn’t open it

Wanted an app for my grandmas iPad to cheer her up with family photos while she’s in nursing home. But of course, she’ll touch a photo she likes, to try to make it bigger. This app does fine until you touch a photo. Instead of making it bigger, or showing the album with the photo centered, it just takes you to this app’s settings, with a bunch of complicated settings my grandma doesn’t need to see. But you can get to this app’s settings via it’s dedicated icon, so touching a photo shouldn’t also take you to settings. Whoever wrote this app clearly didn’t think of grandma’s in nursing homes who can’t see and just want to make the picture bigger. Bummer. Instantly uninstalled, and my $1 lost.

Yeah, as far as I know it’s not possible to link straight to a photo in the photos app. I wish there was! Please, file a return request with Apple! Get the money back if you don’t like it, seriously.

Low res

Shows photos in very low resolution (presumably ones that are backed up in iCloud but not saved locally) - should trigger a download in full read, it looks pretty bad rn

For memory pressure reasons, photos can not be loaded at @3x resolutions, so that can cause some perceived blurriness. Widgets are limited to 30MB of RAM and photos blow through that fast. The app only requests high quality versions when requesting them from the photos framework, so iCloud photos _should_ be downloaded in full. (In fact this is how I primarily use the app too) It could be the the facial recognition algorithm. Perhaps it’s cropping too closely around faces. That could result in some blur. I’ll take another look at that. Feel free to reach out via the contact email if you have any more questions. If you create a “custom locket” inside the app it will use higher resolution imagery because it is lest constrained by RAM.

#2 photo widget for albums

My only complaint is that you can’t have the album title shown. Would like to see a disable/enable option for that if it’s possible. Even in spite of that.. 5 stars!

Great app, just not working right

I really appreciate this app but for some reason none of the locket styles are working for me except for the large one so I thought I’d write a review to let you know.
