The Git remote—whether a hosting provider or your own server—receives only encrypted data and obfuscated file names; it cannot read your vault. Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The local vault works without it. IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTE Your master passphrase cannot be recovered. If you forget it, no one can recover your vault.
