What's New in Lodestone Guitar Tuner

1.1

September 28, 2026

Lodestone is a guitar tuner that's actually a joy to use. One-time purchase: no ads, no subscription, no account. Open the app and it's already listening. Play a string and the whole screen responds: a big, clear note, a color unique to each pitch, and a field of particles that drifts in chaos when you're off and settles into a calm, glowing circle the moment you land in tune. You feel it lock. Forgot what a string should be? Pick your instrument and see every string, in order, with the note it should be tuned to. The string you're tuning lights up and glows brighter as you get close. Tap a string to lock onto it. It's built for accuracy. Lodestone's pitch detection is validated to within 0.05 cents on test tones, and it stays steady on the low strings where most tuners get jittery. Bass listens all the way down to a 5-string's low B. Instruments and tunings: • Guitar: Standard, Drop D, Drop C, D standard, Half step down, DADGAD, Open G, Open D • Bass: 4-string, 5-string, Drop D • Ukulele: Standard (high G), Low G, Baritone • Violin • Chromatic mode for cello, viola, banjo, mandolin, and anything else with strings Beautifully simple: • Opens listening, so you tune in seconds • A big note letter you can read across the room • Color and motion that show exactly how close you are • A soft glow and a gentle haptic the instant you're in tune • A new icon, with 13 alternates in the colors of the notes Private by default. Lodestone uses your microphone only to hear the note you're playing. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Pick it up, play a string, and watch it come into tune.

Violin

For me that loves to play violins is a perfect app!

Best tuner I have found

This is the best tuner I have ever used. Most tuner apps won't let me tune one string at a time. This one lets me pick the exact string I want and go from there. It's simple, accurate and easy to use. Easily the best 99 cents I have ever spent. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
