User reviews

Not completely free

Why is everything on the App Store locked behind a subscription? I'm sticking with my five hour long rain MP3.

One of the best free LoFi apps! 💚🎧

As the title states, this has to be one of the best hidden gems I found on the AppStore!

I used to mainly rely on Youtube for my LoFi needs but the constant ads or pausing due to inactivity would drive me nuts tbh. I got fed up with it so that's how I discovered this app, and I haven't turned back to Youtube for LoFi since.

I think the features on this app are really cool, and there's quite a lot to pick from the free section. I feel like this app is pretty generous when it comes to the free options! It also plays when you turn off your screen and-or use other apps. It only temporarily pauses when you click on a video or a recording option.

While I haven't paid for the extra features yet, it is extremely affordable but it's not a requirement unless you want the extra radios, etc! This is not a paid review, just someone who loves LoFi and is now obsessed with this app :3

The only suggestion I'd make is if it would be possible to add the option to turn this app into a Widget on iOS, I think it'd be cute and look really nice!

Other than that, thank you for making this app! You got a forever user now. 🍵

Update: As of now I’m paying for the monthly sub (which is only $0.99!) and I feel like it’s pretty worth it. The extra radios sound amazing and the sounds you can overlay on top of the music elevates it even further, seriously.

My only suggestion here is, can we have the option to put multiple sounds at once? Like for example, both rain and ocean on, etc! And if we could adjust the volume of each sound, that would be great too :D

Thank you for taking the time to read if you do! 💚

Love it!

I love it. This is the best lofi radio app on the App Store and it looks amazing on Mac. Could be a native app. I like listening to lofi in the background and having this beautiful app on with no ads is wonderful. My only request — PLEASE — give us the ability to purchase this app outright. I would pay a high premium to buy the ‘plus’ version of this app in a one time purchase, but I won’t pay a subscription. If you give me this option, I’d pay 20 dollars or more even personally.

Response from developer

Hi there! Thank you so much for the amazing review, we truly appreciate the kind words and support. And yes, you’re absolutely right: Lilo is a native app. We maintain separate native versions for both iOS and Android to ensure the smoothest possible experience on every platform. We also strongly believe that ads ruin the experience, especially for something meant to be calming and immersive like lofi. So Lilo will always remain ad-free. We completely understand the idea for a one-time purchase option. The main reason we don’t currently offer a lifetime plan is that the services required to run Lilo come with ongoing monthly or yearly costs. As a very small team, it’s difficult for us right now to guarantee lifetime availability at a fixed price, we’re currently just about breaking even. That said, we are actively exploring more flexible options, including yearly plans. If and when we grow to a scale where it’s sustainable, we would absolutely love to offer a lifetime purchase option in the future. In the meantime, we’re committed to keeping a generous free plan and continuing to add new features (check out the latest version, We've added features like zen mode for both free and plus, And it's awesome in mac too!) Thanks again for your support, and stay tuned with Lilo!
