Please Fix it
My device is an iPhone 16 Pro, but when I try to record in high quality, it only records for about 5 seconds and then shows an error. Also, the autofocus is not working. I spent a total of ₹700 on this, and it feels like a complete waste of money

Room for improvement
After today’s update……the ssd is not connecting…..the file pick closes before I can select the ssd folder
Autofocus updates
This is a genius app but can i know when we will get the AUTOFOCUS updates, like after the recording is started. When will we get those updates?
Great but keeps crashing
It’s a great app however it keeps crashing not just on my phone but on other people’s phones as well please release an update so I can give it a five star review

So firstly, I wanna say that the app is actually really really really rough. The UI is a far cry from something like mavis camera. There’s no exposure comp, audio meters, etc. And the cherry on top is that there’s no autofocus during recording.
But what you get in return for all of that is the cleanest open gate image you’ll ever get on your iPhone and a whole hoist of features that simply makes me giddy. The fact that HEVC 444 is here, plus gyroflow, and that you can customize the bitrate and set the whole thing to slog 3 if you wanna match with your Sonys - mwah. Chefs kiss.
Developer you’re definitely a camera nerd and I salute you for doing something so audacious for iOS. I bought the subscription and I’m leaving you a five star because I hope you continue this project, it seems like it’s in early days.
Some feature requests:
Auto exposure compensation slider
Metering modes (wishful thinking)
Being able to choose drop frame or non drop frame on 24 and 30 fps modes
And the biggest thing that’s stopping me from recommending this the most - autofocus during recording

Great app, one big BUG
This app is great, got great results on the trial. As soon as I bought it, the app won’t record past 2 seconds. Super sad but I’m sure we will get a fix. Messed with all my settings and nothing works!!
Good, improvements needed
The app is impressive and I’ve purchased the app for pro features, but some essential features are missing and one of them is the ability to change focus after recording starts, other one is instead of having to manually tap for focus I want the app to do the auto focus and continue after the recording starts . Waiting for these updates.

Shooting log on my iPhone 17
The app is worth every penny live that it’s not subscription based
And the fact that I can record on log on base iPhone is just mind blowing Woukd love if auto focus worked though as most times I shoot talking head alone
And if you’re shooting indoor make sure you increase your brightness very well and reduce iso if not you’ll get too much noise on your footage

Works only with stab off
Tried on iphone15. Recording failing after 1 or 2 sec. After trying many parameters, I found out that stab off solved the issue.
But the idea behind this potential great app is to be able to film anytime I don’t have my video gear. I don’t plan to use my iPhone with gimbal or tripod.
Will re-try later, but if not fixed, it is a NOGO for me

Bugs auf iPhone 15 Pro Max
Hat viele Bugs auf dem iPhone 15 Pro Max. Erster ist dass sehr helle Lichtquellen rosa und Pixel sind. Weiterhin funktioniert die "Allow dropped frames" Funktion nicht, das aufnehmen wird nach 1 Sekunde abgebrochen. Und wenn das Video doch aufgenommen wird und durch die Fehlermeldung abgebrochen, dann ist es danach nicht abspielbar.

Don't work!
Don't work on my iPhone 17 Pro Max on iOS 26.5.1! So laggy when preview or monitor LUTs.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. It seems that iOS 26.5 broke a few things for some people. As for the lag in the preview/monitor, this is explained in the "How to" page in the app. The frames cannot be captured when auto-focus is in progress (the same reason why auto-focus is disabled when recording) - if you turn on manual focus, you should see that the preview works perfectly. If you still see any problems, contact us at info@leadtheway.hr with the exact problem explained.

The only app which captures true log
As far as im concerned this is the only app in App Store that can shoot log video for the base and older iphones .. even though other apps offer it, its just desaturated and less contrast video footage and u can’t color grade it, this is actual workable footage, i can even use my iphone as a b cam as i can shoot in slog3 which is what im using on my sony main camera, as my iphone is base 13 and kinda old with terrible battery i believe i am limited to using 24fps and hevc 420 or prores because anything higher would crash the video recording, i am absolutely impressed with the app and grateful for the developer to figure this out, just one humble request is to make the shutter speed and iso appear on the main front viewfinder maybe like a slider or so that i can easily adjust is while maintaining full view of what i am about to shoot, i was thinking of upgrading to a pro iPhone but now after this app i can set that thought aside for a while..

After recording can’t see the result
Pretty much pointless and can’t zoom during recording + the result is gone can’t find them anywhere

Hi there, could you elaborate a little more on why do you feel it is pointless? The videos are actually saved in the Files folder "Log Cam", and you also have a button in the storage indicator/selector to jump into that folder directly.
Best App for Non Pro Models!
Just wow, its amazing what this app opens your iphone up to. Bypassing all the apple processing and turning each frame into a video format for log is insane. Just that alone deserves 5 stars but it does need more stability and bug fixes and other features that are missing for filmmaking. A desqueeze would great for external anamorphic lens, better focusing so it doesnt crash the app. My only bug so far is when adjusting exposure using the built in false colors the app either crashes or the preview mode(zebras or false colors) just turns off and crashes and the app wont recorded after it. I gotta close the app and launch it back up again and try to adjust exposure again and hope it doesnt crash so i can hit record and film my scene. I’m on Iphone 15 base model if that helps.
