This update introduces new features in LOGBOOK, along with improvements to existing features and a whole range of minor and major bug fixes. Here is a list of the most important changes: • New design for the NMEA and Sync buttons—the current status is now easier to see • The Log button’s menu now opens upward to avoid unnecessary scrolling • Quick selection of sails in the Log button menu • For completed days and days without a log entry, entries can now be added retroactively to the Weather Forecast, Journal, and Technical tabs. • Display of sunrise and sunset times on the daily data sheet • New options: “Bridge” and “Wait” for stopovers and vessel status • Separate speed settings for triggering the start entry while at anchor and at a buoy to avoid unnecessary entries during drifting • Functions for uploading data to support • Warning if the GPS fails • GPS errors or excessive position deviations (caused by GPS jamming, among other things) are ignored • On small screens, the Stop button now appears only as an icon and can be enlarged using the Expand button • When changing a sail’s reef level, the previous reef level is automatically removed • Improvements to the connection between Companion and Primary, with support for Bonjour • Improved text for changes to crew, skipper, etc. • Log entries created by the system (e.g., due to data loss) now appear only once In addition, the update performs automatic corrections: • Potential errors in the statistics that may have occurred with manual engine entries are automatically corrected by the update • Duplicate log entries created by the system are automatically removed by the update
