About

Logge turns your iPhone or iPad into a complete ship's log – built for use on the water. On board Create a voyage in seconds and start logging right away. Every log entry records GPS position, course, speed (kn), wind force (Beaufort), wind direction, sea state, visibility, air pressure, water depth, water temperature, sail setting and engine status. GPS data is filled in automatically. Over a Wi-Fi connection (TCP or UDP), Logge connects to compatible chart plotters and NMEA multiplexers – position, course over ground, speed, wind, water depth and temperature go straight into every log entry. Boat & manoeuvres Choose sailing boat or motorboat – the forms show only the relevant fields. Quick actions for tack, gybe, reef, engine, anchor and more create pre-filled log entries. Automatic course-change detection suggests an entry as soon as your course changes noticeably. Air pressure is read from the iPhone barometer – even offline – with a trend arrow on every entry. Ports are suggested automatically, and every field shows its source (GPS, NMEA, weather, barometer). Track recording Logge records your route in the background – even with the screen off. Recording interval and GPS accuracy are freely adjustable. The route map shows automatic waypoints and manual log entries, colour-coded by speed: log points are tappable, ports are marked, and an overview shows all voyages. Voyage review & statistics Every completed voyage shows total distance, distance under sail and under engine, average and top speed, plus a wind rose, a weather history and the share under sail. The statistics tab sums up nautical miles, days at sea, engine hours, records and favourite ports – with a bar chart per month, a personal annual goal in nautical miles and filters by vessel and year. Export, backup & organisation Export your complete logbook as a PDF in A4 landscape with a print margin for punching and filing, or each voyage's route as a GPX track for Navionics, OpenCPN and other apps. Back up your logbook to a file and restore it at any time – restoring merges instead of overwriting, so nothing is lost. Single voyages can be handed on as a file, to a co-skipper or to a second device. With Logge Pro you can bring GPX tracks from your chart plotter back into a voyage and export log entries as a CSV table for Excel or Numbers. Keep a crew list per voyage – it appears in the voyage details and is printed in the PDF. Voyages are grouped and filtered by month, vessel profiles are saved and pre-filled automatically. On iPad The logbook uses the full width: voyage list and voyage details side by side, the map with an inspector column for the voyage you tapped, statistics as a tile grid. With a keyboard attached you create voyages and log entries by shortcut, and GPX files can be dropped straight onto the voyage list.
